Smoking in public areas

But there is still a 0.00001% chance someone else will die because of your (the smoker's) mistake. I consider that murder.

There's a 0.00001% chance that I could walk outside and have my head knocked off by a baseball someone hit down the road.

But does that mean it happens often?

The only way second hand smoke could seriously effect you is if someone blew it directly into your face and you inhaled it. :|

So you are saying that NO ONE dies of second-hand smoke a year? At least 3000 people die of second hand smoke a year. Those 3000 people could be happily living their lives.

Really?

So now you magically know what I'm thinking inside my head?

Actually what I was saying' date=' to repeat myself, was that it's unlikely. And seriously, when do you ever turn on the news and see a report of someone dying of second hand smoke. Sure you hear of the dangers of second hand smoke, but have you ever actually seen a [i']report[/i] on second hand smoke.

I hate smoking in public places' date=' it annoys the crap out of me. I say we move the allowed smoking part into the middle of the highway, that way, those darn smokers die sooner -.-"

Stfu.

You act like smokers are evil or some sheet.

It's not like everytime somebody puts a cigarette in their mouth, they're like, "Gee, it would make my day if I killed a 9 year old."

Get off your high horse with all that "I HATE SMOKERS" crap.

I feel no sympathy for smokers just like I feel no sympathy for morbidly obese people and alcoholics.

But don't funking act like your better than someone else because you don't do it.

How is this thread not dead yet?

1) Even with hazards the risk is too small, unless unaccompanied by a toddler etc which increase the chances.. To give a pooptart.

2) It smells repulsive and what have you. But thats personal peeve. Should we tell people who carry around a Bible to put it away? No.

3) Unless the reasoning is urgent, be polite and ask them to vacate. Otherwise improvise or move yourself...

I myself improvise or move...
