Yu-Gi-Oh DL - Episode 1: Card playin' Era

Check it out! Episode 1 of the ultimate Yu-Gi-Oh Fanfic. I am aware of a few errors so please do not point them out.

 

YUGIOH DULEING LEDGENDS:

 

CHAPTER ONE - THE HISTORY

 

Duel Monsters. This name brings back memories from a long time ago. It all began in Ancient Egypt were Atem duelled Seto Kiba, the ancient battle between Dark Magician and Blue Eyes White Dragon. Yugi Motto Solved the Millennium Pyramid and Combined with Atem making them become alter-egos. Together they won many battles and collected all 3 god cards. Then, the final duel began between Yugi and Atem. If Atem would win, it would prove that Yugi can’t duel well enough without him and that he should remain with Yugi. If Yugi would win though, Atem would be able to return to his homeland. Yugi wanted to stay with Atem, but Yugi’s true skill was unleashed and he won with the ‘Heart of the Cards’ on his side. Atem returned to his real world and at first everyone was sad, but then Atem’s friends grew to live well without him.

 

Once this saga was over, a new one began. This one was about a teenage boy called Jaden Yuki who signs up to enter Kiba Corps: DUEL ACADEMY. Here everyone is split into 3 groups: Slifer Red, Rar Yellow and Obelisk Blue. Jaden thinks he’s going to be taking lessons and duelling till he can duel no more! But what he doesn’t know is that many things awaited him. Things such as: He friend becoming a card designer, New students coming, Shadow Riders, Prof. Banner being a dead mummy, More new students, Zane turning evil, brand new dorm, MORE NEW STUDENS (this time from the North-Academy), Jaden turning evil, friends turning evil, friends being killed (but they come back somehow)…and so on. This is truly a giant saga that probably as some of the most unexpected stuff in.

 

Eventually though, that one came to an end when Jaden leaves Duel Academy, but that’s when things get really weird. This is because just before the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX saga finishes, Konami decide to have a crossover. Just as he’s going his DM spirit, Winged Kuriboh (witch a figure looking like Atem gave him on the first episode), goes into the Academy. He leads Jaden into a room were Yugi’s deck is on display (You’ll have seen it if you’ve watched the Jaden VS Demitre episode) and behind the deck is that guy that looks like Atem -but we can’t see his eyes- again. Jaden talks to him them suddenly there is a flash of light from Jadens Winged Kuriboh card and when he opens his eyes, he finds himself in Domino Town. Then, rushing out if the GAME shop comes Yugi Motto. Jaden and Yugi then duel and if you want to see that episode have a look at episode 179 and 180.

Next up is Yu-Gi-Oh 5DS. It’s all about duelling on motorbikes, called the D-Wheel. This Next Generation of Duelling adds a few more rules to the book. Though the main aim of this series is duelling whilst riding a motorbike and trying not to crash, you can just take a dueldisk off your motorbike and play good old classic Duel Monsters. Now, first of all this game introduces 2 new types of cards. Synchro Cards and Tuner Type cards. Now, to summon a Synchro card you need to sacrifice Tuners who’s Level ads up to the level of the Synchro monster. Take for example a card called, Junk Warrior. Junk Warrior is level 5 so you need to sacrifice, say, 2 tuners. One that’s level 3 and the other level 2. Though like fusion monsters, some Synchro cards need certain tuners to summon, not just any tuner. Like, Junk Warrior needs a tuner called Junk Synchron and 1 of any other Tuner. Also when you’re duelling on your D-Wheel the field spell “Speed World” is automatically played and each turn you get a special counter called a speed counter. You use speed counters to activate special spell cards that can only be played when “Speed world” is out, called “Speed Spells”.

 

CHAPTER TWO - A FEW CARDS

 

Now, Duel Monsters will follow another Hero. This hero will never back down. He’s know as…Luke. He has a very high reputation among friendship, meaning most people say him as a fair, friendly dueller who plays by the rules. He use’s a deck full of SOUL WARRIORS. Like the Elemental Heroes, most of his cards say “Soul Warrior – [and then the cards name here]”. Soul Warriors are cards that are average on ATK and DEF as well as have lots of different useful effects for different situations. His cards include:

Attribute: Light

Type: Machine/Effect

Attack: 1000

Defence: 1000

Level: 3

Effect: ‘When your opponent draws a card, you may remove it from play and make your opponent draw another one’

 

Name: Soul Warrior – Aqua Fist

Attribute: Water

Type: Warrior/Effect

Attack: 2000

Defence: 1000

Level: 5

Effect: ‘When this card destroys a monster and sends it to the graveyard as a result of battle, you may draw a card’

 

Name: Soul Warrior – Double Heart

Attribute: Earth

Type: Warrior/Gemini

Attack: 1650

Defence: 1200

Level: 4

Effect: ‘This card is treated as a normal monster while face-up on the field or in the graveyard. While this card is face-up on the field, you can normal summon it to have it be treated as an effect monster with this effect: This card can attack as many times as you want as long as you pay 1000 life points each time this card attacks, excluding it’s normal first attack.’

 

CHAPTER 3 - AN ERA BEGINS

This chapter is dedicated to the Crystal Club

 

Luke was silently strolling down Buckstones Road. He was looking at the new card he’d got.

“Jinzo” said Luke to himself,

“What kinda name for a card is that?”. Jinzo was an effect monster. It had the ability to negate all traps as long as it was face up on the field. Still puzzled by its name, Luke then put it in his pocket and reviled several other new cards he’d got along with Jinzo. He slowly read their names out loud,

“Kuriboh…Destiny Hero Blade Master…Spell Reclamation…” Luke stopped. Could it be…a new Soul Warrior! Luke examined it carefully. Its name was ‘Soul Warrior – Double Heart’. It was so shiny…so…brilliant. Luke was stood their for about 5 minutes, admiring his new awesome card. He slowly slotted it into his deck then, he charged down Buckstones Road. He had to tell Conor! Towards the bottom of the street Luke made a sudden stop, witch sent him skidding to Conor’s door. Almost out of breath, Luke rang the doorbell. A surprised Conor answered the door, saying

“Luke? What’s the matter, its 1AM and I’m trying to eat my dinner”. Almost on the floor dieing is Luke saying

“I know *puff* you see *pant* I got this *pant* awesome new *puff* card”.

“Man, you look tired. Come in, you deserve a rest”.

Inside Luke and Conor are sat at a table. Conor’s just finished his lunch and is examining Luke’s new card and his deck.

“Hey” Conor exclaimed “This deck is actually really good!”.

“You think so?” said Luke

“Yup” Conor excitedly replied “Infact, how would you like to duel the Crystal Club deck?”

 

The Crystal Club used to be a club of Luke, Conor and Alex. A den (that had been used many times before) was used as the Crystal Club base. Eventually it just seemed to end up as Luke and Conor, because Alex and Conor never really got on well. Luke and Conor both put their Crystal Beast monsters together to create a supreme Rainbow Dragon deck.

“No problem!” said Luke “I’ll be using my SW deck and you can use the RD deck”

“Bring it on!” said Conor happily “I’ll see how good your deck REALLY is”…

 

CHAPTER 4 - DAWN OF THE DUELS

 

“DUEL START!” Luke and Conor both said at the same time. Now the duel had started. Luke and Conor were both eyeing each other, equal at 4000 LP. Conor went first.

“DRAW” said Conor. Conor set 1 face down monster and ended his turn. Luke’s turn now, he drew his card.

“I summon SOUL WARRIOR – SHINE EDGE to the field!” Luke Chuckled. He then began to explain SW-Shine Edge’s effect.

“When Shine Edge is summoned he can automatically destroy one face down card, and I think I’ll destroy your only face-down!” The face-down card was CB – Amber Mammoth, witch by its effect instead of being destroyed, goes to Conor’s spell & trap card zone.

“Now…” said Luke “The fun begins…”

“SHINE EDGE, DIRECT ATTACK!!!” he yelled. Conor’s LP was reduced to 2500.

“Next!” said Luke “I play the spell card, SOUL THRASH! This card allows me to tribute 1 Soul Warrior on the field and we both take damage equal to that cards attack.” Luke tributes SW – Shine Edge witch sends Luke’s LP down to 2500 and Conor’s down to 1000. Luke played on card face down, and ended his turn.

“Next turn, your gonna lose.” Luke said. Conor drew his card. He summoned a CB – Topaz Tiger.

“Topaz!” yelled Conor “Direct Attack!”

“I activate my face down card, A SOUL WARRIORS ULTIMATE RISK!” replied Luke.

“A Soul Warriors Ultimate risk reduces my life-points to 100 times the number of cards in my hand. So I have 300 LP.” A glint appeared in Luke’s eye “But you lose life-points equal to the currant attack of you attacking monster!” Conor couldn’t believe it. He was going to lose 2000 LP. That is double his amount of life-points left.

 

Conor’s life point’s reduced to zero. He’d lost on his 2nd turn. This was truly an amazing deck! To beat a Rainbow Dragon deck like that in 3 turns.

“Good game” laughed Luke “I expected more of a challenge though”

“A challenge?” replied Conor “This deck is a challenge. You’re just really good!” Conor then stuck his hand in his pocket and pulled out a torn, folded chunk of paper and showed it to Luke.

“Duel Monsters fans Rejoice!” Luke read out-load “The experienced players torny, your reward is…” Luke was puzzled to find that the area that told us what the prize is is missing.

 

CHAPTER 5 - WHAT'S ALL THIS ABOUT?

 

“What’s all this about??” Luke said puzzled. He was still looking at the missing part of the paper.

“It’s...um…well…” Conor was struggling to get his words out. You could tell he was very embarrassed.

“You see…it was like this…” Conor stuttered “I kinda found this in a skip” Conor was now as red as Slifer the Sky Dragon.

“Why on earth were you looking though a giant yellow bin???” Conor looked like he would blow-up any second now.

“Never mind”

-“Whatever”

Conor had now cooled down and was beginning to look normal again.

“Anyway” Conor said “Are you gonna enter this thing, or what?”

“I’m not going to enter it” said Luke smirking. Conor got hit with a shock-of-a-lifetime.

“Whatdoyoumeanyourgonnaenterit, yoursogood!” Conor said all at once.

“Heh, heh” laughed Luke “I’m not gonna enter it…I’m gonna enter it and win! Conor’s face colour went back to normal for the second time in 1 hour (A NEW RECORD).

 

“So when is this torny?” Luke asked

“If you look at the bottom” said Conor “You’ll see that it starts this Wednesday”. Luke’s face lit up.

“That’s the day after tomorrow, meaning I’ll be winning it soon!” said Luke “I can’t wait to see what kinda prize I get when I win!”

“WO, WO, WO!” replied Conor “Let’s not get ahead of ourselves here! Do you even know who’s participating?” Luke still seemed to have that smirk on his face.

“Well then…let’s find out the competition!” he said.

 

Luke and Conor were both on the internet. They were entering the Torny online to see who’s in it.

“Ok, here we go” said Conor “He clicked on a page named ENTERYS”

“Right so you’ll be facing a guy name RAZOR in the first match…” Conor told Luke. “…and if you win you’ll be against either another guy called BOLT or a girl called GEM”

“Thanks Conor…but I have to ask you…” said Luke “What’s razor like?”

 

CHAPTER 6 - THE SPEED IS COMING...BEWERE!

 

Conor pointed at an info screen that read:

NAME: Razor Wheelz

DECK: Turbo Charge

STRATGERY: Summon Powerful monsters quickly

DECK INFO: ‘My deck use’s Turbo cards. Like Motorbikes, Car’s and anything on wheels that’s fast! You’ll never keep up with me…’

“All right!” said Luke “I can’t wait to duel him, what’s my data like?”

Conor then clicked on a picture of Luke and pointed at a different info screen that read:

NAME: Luke*

DECK: Fight from your Soul

STRATGERY: Pull a win out of know were

DECK INFO: ‘You may think that you have the advantage but I know all the exact spots were you’ve let your guard down…’

“All right!” yelled Luke “A perfect line-up!” Luke was truly duelling from his soul! He still had 4000 LP whilst Conor was struggling to win with 2000. Luke then played SOUL WARRIOR – DOUBLE HEART and started boasting about it effect.

“Since I’ve normal summoned it again (or second summoned it as people call it) I can make it attack as many times as I want as long as I pay 1000 for each apart from it’s first” Luke then had it attack Conor’s face down destroying it.

“Now!” said Luke “I pay 2000 life-points to have it do 2 direct attacks, and with 1650 life-points of each, it’s more then enough to finish you off!” Conor’s life point’s dropped to zero (again).

 

“You know what Luke…” Conor said as he sat their still trying to recover from his 2nd in a row loss. “I think I’ll use a different deck”

“Different deck?” said Luke “I’ve never seen your other deck”

“What!” shockingly shouted Conor “You mean I’ve never told you about the deck! I can’t believe you’ve never heard of the deck”

“Well I will if you’ll tell me…” sighed Luke.

“Then I’ll just have to tell you about the deck” said Conor “It’s know as the…U.E.R.”

“What’s that stand for?” said Luke

-“Ultimate Energy Rush”.
