I prefer Hydrogeddon. I've tried both and like Hydro better, because I can usually get 2 Hydros from 1, and if Blue Thunder summons a Token, it doesnt have the same effect as Blue Thunder so Shrink and stuff are less useful.

Just personal preference.

Yeah, I wish Apprentice Monarchs could get a comeback; I still have all the stuff I need for AM. And DD Warrior Lady needs a comeback as well. But Spirit Reaper, Sangan, Card Trooper and Gadgets are still very prevalent.

The only reason Blue Thunder is better is because it doesn't have to send the monster to the Graveyard.

If you're playing against Macro, your Hydrogeddons will be useless.

Ha, my personal preference is Victory Viper XX03 equiped with United We Stand, though Mage Power works fine, with it finally semi-limited. And it doesn't need the monster to go to the graveyard either. It's not meta like both Hydro and Blue Thunder, but its better by the fact that it can destroy face-up S/T, and that Option Tokens adjust with Victory Viper's ATK/DEF, but worse because of it's weak attack. I would run him in a deck with lots of equips.

Thing is that nobody I know runs Macro, so it isn't a problem.

When I go to SJC Baltimore in September, I will be running Blue Thunder, but right now I'm running Hydro.

Why is Trooper in the Side Deck?

I'd lose the Sakuretsu Armors for Dimensional Prisons.

Also, I'd like to see 3 Divine Wrath in the Side Deck.

Trooper's just useless in this Deck' date=' so I don't think you should be using it at all.

He self-replaces. That means you don't have to be afraid of overextending with him. If you have 1 Monster on your side of the field and summon Card Trooper, know your opponent has a mirror force, you can attack anyways, knowing that MF will only end up being a 1-for-1. That means your opponent has to either

1. Use Mirror Force in a situation where it doesn't gain him advantage.

2. Choose to not use Mirror Force, allowing you to get your attacks through for the turn, possibly destroying monsters and doing damage in the process.

Cards like Card Trooper are the definition of Aggro.

High five, Dark One. Thats a good explanation.

I usually play against decks that do lots of Special Summoning, so I love to use Oppression on them, so I keep the Trooper in the side, for when I can use it against a deck that doesn't do that so much.
