NineteenHundred
I think he means why some real illegal cards like "Emperor of Lightning" or "Ullevo" were made.
Abstract [Atrocity]
Cards that are banned are banned because they're broken. Take Yata-Garasu, he's a single card that can win games easily. Cards that are illegal are that way for a reason; Ulevo, Meteo the Matchless, Chimaera the Master of Beasts ect. are banned because your opponent could just scoop bfore you hit them and get them to 0, thus winning the entire match. They banned them all instead of just making a rule.
-DG-
i guess it was so you could still duel with them outside of tournaments. I have a tournament legal deck. That is just how i play. my little bro, better known as YCM dude, uses his obelisk alot
Luna Lovegood
They want them in the show, fans like them so they make them, then they decide they are very powerful so banned them. simple
Doom™
They want them in the show, like Funk said. The Gods don't have an official effect, so they can't be used in a real duel. Also, take out the swear word from the poll name.
moneypony
well they print it because they know that collectors would want it.

advicedog
Cards like Raigeki were once relatively balanced but the game has since changed. If Konami wants to remove game-killers from higher-level play, then that's their decision. Besides, unless you enter tournaments the restrictions do not affect you.
