Here is the new set of mine, and I feel this one will be SOOOO fun to make, that I'll get it done.

This is a limited edition set, that will include 15+ cards. ALL ART will be from the brilliant artist Wen-M of Deviantart.com.

Alchemy Tales

I get lazy with sets after the first batch I show people, ask anyone, but that is why, I am here to ask for help.


If someone wants to help and submit a card, PM me, and I will give you specifics.

Most of the cards here are alchemists, or creations of alchemy.

All of the alchemists DEAL with Alchemy Counters.

Alchemy is the science of turning something, to something else, in short therms. Mostly metals to gold. But that is history, lets get to the present.

I would like to get specific help on this set.

I have 9/15+ cards to show you now.

All Grandmasters have that design. I could show the original if you would like it.
Grandmasters dont deal with counters, they can use alchemy without the counters.

1. Levis, Alchemist of the Forest

When this card is Normal Summoned, you can Tribute up to 2 Plant-Type monsters you control to put 1 Alchemy Counter on this card for each card Tributed. Once per turn, you can remove 1 Alchemy Counter from this card to Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower Plant-Type monster from your hand.

2. Saul, Alchemist's Assassin

This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned by the effect of an "Alchemist" monster. This card can attack your opponent directly. When this card is destroyed, inflict 100 damage to your opponent for each card in their hand.

3. Alvus, Alchemist's Knight

This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned by the effect of an "Alchemist" monster. When this card destroys a monster your opponent controls, draw 1 card. When this card is destroyed, you skip your next Draw Phase.

4. Lucius, Alchemist of the Dark

During your Standby Phase, you can Tribute 1 DARK monster you control to put 1 Alchemy Counter on this card. If this card is destroyed by an effect controlled by your opponent, add 1 Level 6 or higher DARK monster from your Graveyard to your hand. Once per turn, you can remove 1 Alchemy Counter from this card to activate 1 of the following effects: - Draw 1 card. - Special Summon 1 Level 3 or lower Fiend-Type monster from your hand.

5. Tyraun, Alchemist's Dark Knight

This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned by the effect of an "Alchemist" monster. When this card is Special Summoned, destroy all face-up Defense Position monsters your opponent controls.

6. Spawn of Alchemy

When an "Alchemist's" monster you control attacks a monster on your opponent's side of the field, you can Tribute 1 "Alchemist" monster you control to destroy the attack target and negate the effects of all Spell/Trap Cards until the end of the Battle Phase.

7. Grawgu, Alchemist's Servent

This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned by the effect of a DARK "Alchemist' monster. The Level of this card is also treated as 3, 7, and 8. This card can attack 2 monsters your opponent controls during the same Battle Phase.

8. Alchemy Gone Wrong

Only activate this card when a face-up "Alchemist" monster you control activates its effect, negate the effect to send the top 3 cards of your Deck to the Graveyard.

9. Zentagawa, the Grandmaster Alchemist

This card is also treated as a LIGHT monster. This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned by Tributing 3 face-up "Alchemist" monsters you control. Once per turn, you can Tribute 2 monsters you control of the same Attribute (Not including this card). Activate the correct following effect based on the Attribute of the Tributed monsters: - WATER: Draw 1card. - EARTH: Flip 1 face-up monster face-down. - FIRE: Inflict 1000 damage to your opponent. - WIND: Return 1 card on your opponent's side of the field to the top of their Deck. - LIGHT: Destroy all face-down Spell & Trap Cards your opponent controls. - DARK: Destroy all face-up monsters your opponent controls.

10. Joen, the Holy Savior Alchemist

Each time a Spell, Trap, or Monster Card Effect is activated which destroys cards on the field, place 1 Alchemy Counter on this card. Remove any number of Alchemy Counters from this card to Special Summon a non-DARK "Alchemist's" monster from your hand whose Level is equal to the number of Alchemy Counters removed.

11. Waldorf, Alchemist General

You can pay 700 Life Points to put 1 Alchemy Counter on this card. Once per turn, you can remove 2 Alchemy Counters from this card to Special Summon 1 Level 4 Warrior-Type monster from your hand or Graveyard. During you End Phase, you can add 1 EARTH monster from your Graveyard to your Deck and shuffle it. When this card is destroyed, you can put 1 Alchemy Counter on all other face-up "Alchemist" monsters on the field.

12.Emaya, Alchemist of the Breeze

You can return one monster you control to your hand to put 1 Alchemy Counter on this card. You can remove 1 Alchemy Counter from this card to return 1 face-up monster your opponent controls to the top of their Deck, if you activate this effect, this card cannot attack this turn.

13. Alchembarrier

You can only activate this card if you control at least 3 face-up "Alchemist" monsters. You can remove 1 Alchemy Counter from every face-up "Alchemist" monster you control to negate attacks declared on your face-up "Alchemist" monsters. During your End Phase, pay 600 Life Points, if you cannot, this card is destroyed.

14. Eroh, Alchemist Sage

Once per turn, send the bottom card of your Graveyard to the top of your Deck face-up and shuffle it. When you draw the card, put 3 Alchemy Counters on this card. You can remove 4 Alchemy Counter from this card to Draw 2 cards. When this card is destroyed, you can Tribute 1 face-up "Alchemist" monster you control to destroy all face-up "non-Alchemist" monsters your opponent controls.

15. Alyssa, Alchemist Vampire

This card is also treated as Zombie-Type. When this card is Summoned, put 1 Alchemy Counter on this card for each Zombie-Type monster on the field other than this card. You can remove 1 Alchemy Counter from this card to Special Summon 1 monster from your Graveyard, negate the monster's effect and is treated as Zombie-Type. The Summoned monster's ATK and DEF are treated as 500.

16. Cleopatra, Alchemist Grandmaster

This card is also treated as a DARK monster. This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned by Tributing 3 face-up "Alchemist" monsters you control. Once per turn, you can Tribute 2 monsters you control of the same Attribute (Not including this card). Activate the correct following effect based on the Attribute of the Tributed monsters: - WATER: Destroy 1 Spell/Trap Card. - EARTH: Change the battle position of 1 face-up card. - FIRE: Double your Life Points. - WIND: Draw 1 card. - LIGHT: Destroy all face-up monsters your opponent controls. - DARK: Destroy all face-down Spell/Trap Card your opponent controls.

17. Tsumai, Alchemist of Ice

You can Special Summon this card by Tributing 1 WATER monster you control. When this card is Summoned, you can put 1 Alchemy Counter on this card. You can remove 1 Alchemy Counter from this card to select 1 card on the field, the selected card cannot be targeted by an effect other than this card or activate its effect or declare an attack. When this card is destroyed, raise the DEF of all monsters you control by 500.

18. Keiko, Alchemist of the Inferno

You can raise your opponent's Life Points by 1000 to put 2 Alchemy Counters on this card. You can remove 1 Alchemy Counter from this card to select 1 monster your opponent controls. Inflict 500 damage to your opponent and if the selected monster's ATK is under 500, destroy it. When this card is destroyed, you can put all Alchemy Counters that were on this card to 1 other face-up "Alchemist" monster you control.

19. Napoleon, The Alchemist Emperor

This card can only be Special Summoned by Tributing 1 face-up "Alchemist" monster you control. Once per turn, you can add 2 Trap Cards from your Graveyard to your Deck and shuffle it to draw 1 card. When this card destroys a monster your opponent controls by battle, put 3 Alchemy Counters on this card. You can remove 3 Alchemy Counters from this card to return up to 2 face-down Spell/Trap Cards your opponent controls to their Deck and shuffle it. All cards in the adjacent Card Zones to this card are destoyed at the End Phase.

20. Alchemblade

This card can only be equipped to a face-up "Alchemist" monster you control. As long as this card remains on the field, raise the ATK of the equipped monster by 450. Once per turn, you can put 1 extra Alchemy Counter on the equipped monster.

was there a set of the archetype "Alchemist" before this one? because a lot of your cards said they couldnt be summoned except by an Alchemist, and none of these cards had that effect..

 

anywho, great job.

 

i didnt really care for the recolour of the final card, but that is trivial.

would you mind if, when i start the contest, adding these to my 2nd fan fic contest with a character, to possibly win a spot in Vol. 2 of Edge of Justice?

Uhhhh...

certain cards in the set can only be Summoned by the Effect of an "Alchemist" Monster, but I don't see any monsters in this set that Summon "Alchemist" Monsters..

 

So do you want people to make cards that Summon Alchemists, or would you prefer cardmakers don't meddle in that area?

So far, I don't see any cards that summon "Alchemist" monsters in this thread, so if there is a different thread about Alchemist Monsters, please tell me what it is so I can stop being so confused. ^^

but none of your "Alchemist" Monsters can Summon any of your "Alchemist's" Monsters...

 

Anyway, I found an awesome picture by "Wen-M", and I'll make a card soon and post it here.

This is a very interesting idea, and some of those graphics are great! Look forward to "Joen", the Winged Alchemist!

Alchemist monsters can be summoned normally, unless specified on the card. "Alchemist's" monsters must be special Summoned [non specifically] by the effect of an "Alchemist" monster.

 

Alchemist isn't a subtype, its an archtype, along with "Alchemist's".

 

Alchemist's monsters, MUST BE SUMMONED with an Alchemist, Alchemist monsters themselves, can be summoned normally.
