who knew, forum skins could be such "fun" to make.

ive recently took up the project of "making" forum skins, and i have to say, im coming along rather good. Like many, my first try was a little iffy.

My second attempt, was a little harder, as i took on a bigger project, and last but not least, my third attempt, brought a um "interesting" (words of Darth, which in his terms means, mehh, i dont like it, but i would defenitaly hang it up in my dining room wall) skin, which is under the theme of the Olympics.

My question to you, the random viewer of this thread, rather right, or WRONG. How do you like forum skins? do you make forum skins? etc..

Lol they are very easy to make. CSS and HTML codes are for kids. But lets see if YCMaker can upload them for the forum. This may be good but we can't do anything.

 

Oh edited: Um yeah I uploaded some skins for people in GFXVoid and other places. They are fun to make and these things but sometimes they can be a pain.

lol that sounds good, i could always use a challenge, as my coding skills are still shedding their post birth skin ^_^

 

kox, no duh their easy to make

though some cant do it worth crap,

they take patients, as it a reguired substance in this case, but easy non the less ^_^

Don't get your hopes up. I made once an awesome Naruto Skin for a forum. Unfortunately the admin didn't stick it up. Even though I was Global I couldn't touch the skin section.

tech. in the case of CSS skins, you dont really need to know how to code

you just need to know what the code means

and which part if which

.maintitle is the bar above every forum (General, Custom Cards, etc..)

If you can do that, then you can perhaps get skins installed, I mean, he did add a warn system *cough*ensured my doom*cough*, so whose to say he wouldn't add other cool stuff to the site.

 

Honestly, make a cool skin (no Theme, just cool colors), and a Yugioh one so it matches the theme of the site, and see if YCMaker would be willing to add them. I would humbly request a "Marines" colored one and a "Red Army" colored one, because I'm cool like that, but that's just me.

 

Honestly, if you can get permission to make them, and have him say he would possibly accept them, then you should totally hold a vote on which ideas people like the best.

I've tried, once, and failed badly. -_- I could never be bothered to learn. Which explains my horrible sigs. Anyways, even if you do make a skin, what's the chance YCMakers going to bother looking at the thread? But it's worth a shot. Good Luck.^^

Lawl Ashje. It's easy you just have to learn about CSS and HTML codes. Not that hard. But since you asked........... Anyway we could but I'm not entirely sure that a BB will accept skins. Maybe an IPB but not sure about a BB forum.

You see, YCMaker is acting gay about the whole topic..... i pmed him yesterday about and that i and bloodrun (i can get someone else if he doesn't want) and a few others as well could do the whole thing with me designing it and they helping me in that or do the coding sheet =P

 

Anyway still no reply and YCMaker i know you read the thing >.> just say yes or no....

 

Oh and i'll make a red army skin just for j00 Static....

Lol it's easy. I spent a few months with it. I can even make member names in tabs and these things. I can change the whole coding for the Card maker skin. Give it a little of sprinkle of smexiness and I would work on other things too. But we have to make a campaign XD.
