Both reps and points have a reason to stay.

The reps describe the type of person the user is.

The points describe how long that person is on the cite, and allows others to buy boosters and other stuff.

So they both should stay.If one or the other were to never exist this cite would never be complete.

It's normally a nice just to spell site right.

 

Reps are pointless and biased, they do not tell you what a person is like, you find that out yourself.

 

Points are pretty pointless, but would be useful if we got a Store. Points = Nothing, so if you want to buy anything, you should not need to pay anything. Points do not tell anyone how long they have been on the site, that is what the "Joined:" part of your Profile is for.

 

Please provide a valid reason.

Most of the mods can't even fully comprehend the proper use of the warning precentage thing. Leaving the reputation system totally up to them would probably result in nobody ever getting any reps of any sort. Unless they were bad ones.

Auto shop would be ok, but it would need a limit on the amount of names one could use in a given period of time. I prefer the name change not being a shop idea, but a part of user cp restricted to 2 name changes per 90 days, for all normal members.

Not really Static, in the shop you'd need to waste points, and believe me if they are paid with points...they are gonna be the most expensive item in the shop meaning it'll take you years before you can do it, rofl.

Merits are the same as Reputation Points except they cannot be given by members meaning only members of the forum staff can hand them out for doing good or bad things.
