Prologue (20 years before this):

"I will defeat you, Coldsteel!" said Lord Freed.

''Never!'' yelled Coldsteel.

Freed swinged his sword towards Coldsteel, who defended himself and stroke back, hitting Freed into his hand. Freed threw away his greatsword and drew his one handed Steel Sword. Freed rushed towards Coldsteel, stabbing him into his left leg. Coldsteel fell to the ground. Freed approached Coldsteel.

"Now you die, Coldsteel!" said Freed, while preparing to stab his sword into Coldsteel's heart.

But, then something magnificent happened. Coldsteel drew his Ice Dagger out, and tossed it into Freed's heart, instantly killing him. Suddenly, Wilfred and Gearfried broke into the room.

"Surrender, Coldsteel!" yelled Wilfred.

"I won't." said Coldsteel with a smile on his face, and disappeared.

Lord Azgalor then came into the room, with some of his men.

"Kill them!" said Azgalor, and 2 warriors rushed towards Wilfred and Gearfried.

Wilfred killed one quickly, and Gearfried cut the other one's throat. They took Freed's body, and escaped, not mattering Azgalor. The next day they buried Freed's body. His little son, Gilford, did not attend the burial. He just wanted to revenge. Revenge his father's death.

 

 

 

[spoiler=Chapter I]

Chapter I : The Journey Begins

20 years later...

 

Gilford rode into the castle of Minchazaar. Everyone knew him. This time it wasn't a simple lunch with the king. It was more serious this time. King had something to tell them. It was a plan to kill Coldsteel, the Evil king. He entered the Castle Halls, and he was impressed by massive armors and beautiful paintings. He entered the dining hall, where he met the king.

"Welcome, Lord Gilford!" said Wilfred.

"Thank you, my king!" replied Gilford and took a bow.

"Where is Gearfried?" asked he.

"He will be here..." the king spook, while Gearfried entered the Dining Hall "...shortly." finished the king.

They sat and started eating.

"We got a serious situaton. Coldsteel is preparing an attack on us, and is summoning troops in Gate Doom!" said King Wilfred.

"What is our task?" asked Gearfried.

"Here." answered Wilfred and handed over some sheets of paper to Gearfried and Gilford.

"You will also have some company on this journey." said Wilfred and yelled: "Zaloog! Come in!" and a not-so-tall man entered the Dining Hall.

"This is Zaloog." said Wilfred. "one of my best assasins, if not, the best one.".

Gilford asked: "Why the heck do we need him?"

"His sneaking abilities will help you enter Gate Doom, and use the portal to Gar'Kumoir, from where another portal will lead you to Has'Masdeen, their capital. In Gate Doom, tour objective is to destroy the Doom portal, from where they summon their troops, and kill Lord Azgalor. In Gar'Kumoir, you must defeat Count Vladimir and his vampire forces. And finaly, in Has'Masdeen, you must defeat their main army, and kill Coldsteel.".

"I can't wait to lay my sword onto that bastard's neck..." mumbled Gilford for himself, but Wilfred heared him:

"Easily, Gilford. First you have to kill Azgalor and Vladimir. They aren't a piece of cake. Listen up, people. Gearfried, you will lead the main force to destroy their cities. Zaloog, you will sneak in to open the gates for Gearfried. And you, Gilford, pick 3 of your best men and you will clear their castles' inside area."

Then Gilford asked:"Aren't you coming, your Majesty?".

"No, I am not. I am too old for this. Okay, lets get to work. Go prepare for the task. You have 2 days.".

"Your Majesty," said Zaloog "I have to introduce you to another meber of the team. Come in, Springshot!". A tall woman entered the room.

"Assasin Springshot, at your service." she said.

"Hmmmm... Okay, you can go, but stick to Zaloog!" said Wilfred "Go now, men, and get ready for the task!".

The group left Minchazaar, and everyone went to their homes. In Lastopolis, Lord Gilford picked 3 of his best men. "Coldsteel, this is the time you die." said he.

 

END OF CHAPTER I

 

 

 

[spoiler=Chapter II]

Chapter II: Travel to the Gate

 

Gilford and his three men sat on their horses and rode to the meeting place, a valley near the border between Alasdor and Nal’Hakkar. While he was riding, Gilford watched the beautiful fields, forests and towns. It’s possible that he won’t see any of those again. He knew that if he succeeds in his mission, he will stop the preparing invasion and, most importantly, revenge his father’s death. But if he doesn’t, Alasdor is going to fall into enemies’ hands. When they reached the valley covered with rocks, they saw Gearfried with his army of about 400 men. Gilford approached Gearfried.

“Hail, my friend!” said he.

“Hail, Gilford. Beautiful day, isn’t it? We are just waiting for Zaloog and Springshot now, and we can set up the plan for the attack.” said Gearfried.

A moment later Zaloog and Springshot appeared behind Gilford. Zaloog was wearing a pair of old pants and a dusty shirt, while Springshot was dressed in a green outfit and weared a coat on her back.

“Hail, noble lords. Ready to go?” asked Zaloog.

“We are, and here’s the plan.” said Gearfried “Zaloog, you and springshot will sneak in as some traders, who sell food and other stuff. You will give us the signal by firing 3 Blazing Arrows in the air. My men and I will wait in the ridge near Gate Doom. Gilford, you and your men will stay with us, and leave for the castle when we start destroying their buildings and their Demon Summoning portal. Kill Azgalor, report to me and we can go then. The portal in the castle leads to a forest near Gar’Kumoir.”

“Okay. Let’s go kill them.” said Gilford, and they started moving towards Gate Doom.

 

Meanwhile, in Gate Doom…

 

“Hurry up! Bring that brick over here! Summoners! Cast that spell faster!” yelled Azgalor all over Gate Doom. He was told to summon as many demons as he can, and send them to Has’Masdeen. Coldsteel wanted even more forces, so he could be able to conquer Alasdor. He was standing on a hill in Gate Doom, overlooking his fortress. Ugly houses, disgusting inhabitants…Everything he ever wanted in his life! Next there were Demon-like soldiers… And a Demon summoning portal. There was also a monstruous marketplace, where all demonic sellers sale weapons, food and other stuff. Azgalor went to his castle, for lunch, not even knowing what is going to happen in the next 48 hours.

 

Back to Gilford and the company…

 

After seven hours of riding, Gilford, Gearfried, Zaloog, Springshot and 400 soldiers entered a grassy ridge.

“This is where we will rest, and later, Zaloog and Springshot will enter Gate Doom as food sellers. After opening the gate for us, they will start eliminating the guards, and I will besiege the castle. Gilford, you will split from us with your men when we reach the castle.” said Gearfried.

“Alright, now lets rest, im so tired.” Gilford yawned and felt asleep.

 

END OF CHAPTER II

 

 

 

[spoiler=Chapter III]

Chapter III: Siege of Gate Doom

 

Gilford and Gearfried were sitting on their horses while watching Zaloog and Springshot enter Gate Doom, masked as food sellers.

“Do you think they are going to succeed?” asked Gilford.

“I do.” replied Gearfried. “Zaloog really is skilled.”

“I will believe you then.”

Zaloog and Springshot entered Gate Doom, through a massive gate. The whole city was… Disgusting! Every peasant looked at them with their monstruous gaze. As soon as they get to the Marketplace, the better. They entered the Marketplace and set up their own counter. Now they just had to wait the end of the day…

 

5 hours later…

 

“Come on, Zaloog, do it!” said Gilford, obviously nervous.

“Don’t worry, Gilford, he will.” said Gearfried, attempting to calm down his friend as the night fell.

 

Meanwhile, Zaloog got up to the guard’s post. He raised his dagger and cut the guard’s throat. Springshot took out her Bow and flamed 3 arrows on the brazier. She shot them in the air one by one.

 

“It’s the sign, Gearfried! Let’s go!” yelled Gilford.

Gearfried spurred his horse and ordered his troops to charge. All the 400 men galloped to the gate, ready to strike down anything in their way.

 

Zaloog cut the rope on the gatehouse and the drawbridge started to drop. By the time it dropped, Zaloog and Springshot shoot some guards on the walls, and proceeded moving downstairs towards the main road, leading to the castle. They hid behind a house, awaiting for Gearfried’s knights to strike.

 

Gearfried, Gilford and the men rushed towards the dropped drawbridge and entered Gate Doom. A swarm of Demons and Werewolves appeared in front of them, and the noble knights charged. A great battle started. Gearfried took 3 Demons and 4 Werewolves on himself, while Gilford was fighting 2 Fel Beasts, attemting to breach through to the castle. A moment later, Zaloog and Springshot joined the fight. Zaloog stroke 4 enemies in a row, and then turned back and wiped the 5th out with his crossbow. Springshot got up on a house, and shot down some creatures with her bow, precisely hitting them into their heads. Gearfried noticed the Gate Portal, source of those demonic creatures.

“Destroy that thing! Charge!” yelled Gearfried and the men pushed towards the Portal.

 

Meanwhile, Gilford and his group got to the castle building door.

“Breach through!”

Gilford and his men razed the door, attracting the inside guards’ attention. The group got off their horses, quickly wiping out 2 guards. The others ran off, to warn Azgalor. Gilford and his men pursued the running ones through the halls, with walls filled with torches made from Demonic bones.

 

Gearfried reached the portal first.

“Think quickly, Gearfried!!!”

The Demons came out in enormous numbers, Gearfried stood on the side, looking around the building surrounding the portal. The time was running out.

 

Gilford and his team still pursued the guards, and then the guards turned left at the corner. Gilford came out from the corner, and saw the guards standing in front of a gigantic doors, smiling. Suddenly, the door opened and Azgalor came out, holding his Massive Spear in his right hand.

 

Gearfried finally noticed a weakness, an unstable block which was easily movable by an arrow.

“Springshot! Shoot that damn block over there!” Gearfried pointed at the block. A moment later, Springshot shot an arrow in the air, towards the unstable block. The block moved, and the building started shaking. The building crushed, closing the Portal and cutting off Azgalor’s and Coldsteel’s reinforcements. Gearfried’s army easily killed off the remaining Demons.

 

Gilford and his men rushed towards Azgalor. Azgalor cried out in rage and stabbed his spear into one of Gilford’s men. Gilford cut away both of Azgalor’s guards. After Azgalor killed the remaining two of Gilford’s men, they were even. Gilford drew his 2-Handed Sword, yelled: ”Aaaaaaaaaaaaargh!” and rushed towards Azgalor.

 

Gearfried commanded his men to enter the castle. Gilford should have already beaten the guards up. Zaloog jumped next to him.

“What’s the plan?”

“We’ll enter the castle and beat them up if Gilford didn’t.”

“I bet he’s already on Azgalor!”

“We’ll find out.”

Zaloog didn’t even know how right was he.

 

Gilford swinged his sword towards Azgalor, but only hit his spear. Azgalor fought back, but missed. They entered a huge, round room. Gilford charged towards Azgalor, trying to stab him. Azgalor dodged, and Gilford hit the wall. Azgalor used the advantage and rushed towards Gilford. Suddenly Gilford turned around and defended himself. But Azgalor then swinged his spear, disarming Gilford. The disarmed man retreated back to the wall and awaited his doom.

“It’s over” said Azgalor and raised his spear.

 

Zaloog, Gearfried and Springshot ran down the hall. They turned around the corner and entered a huge round room. Springshot spotted Azgalor and Gilford.

“No you wont!” yelled she and fired an arrow right into Azgalor’s neck.

Gilford got up, picked up his sword and came over to Springshot.

“Thanks. I won’t forget you saving my life.”

“It’s nothing, really.”

“Then let’s go find that Portal. We still got to kill 2 more bad guys.”

They left the room, and started searching for the Portal to Gar’Kumoir.

Chapter IV: Through the Forest is underway!
