Pokemon> Yugioh

and the same goes for me as it did for Pyro:

I prefer the Pokemon Anime over the Yugioh Anime' date=' thanks to 4kids.

I also prefer the Pokemon Games over any Yugioh games.

But, I like the Yugioh TCG much more then the Pokemon one.

While I enjoy Yu-Gi-Oh, the anime has gone down considerably in entertainment value.

The show isn't even worth it anymore. Its the same run down thing day in, day out. Now all they do is change the characters around and replay the stories with some small minute changes.

I voted Pokemon. Mainly because there's 493 pokemon, the anime is still pretty entertaining, there's 10 movies out, going on 11, Pokemon has been around for over 10 years, more and more games continually come out, along with the TCG. There is only one format for the TCG, not 2 (like Yu-Gi-Oh).

Yu-Gi-Oh had to add in new kinds of cards in order to keep the game even somewhat interesting (which I think just made it suck worse...I barely want to play anymore), pokemon added 2 new types and its been that way for...4 years now I think.

Hands down, Pokemon overrules Yu-Gi-Oh, and will continue to do so.

Personally I like pokemon just because there's more to do.

The Yu-Gi-Oh TCG is fun, I will admit, and can last a lot longer than any pokemon TCG game ever will, but the video games leave a lot to be desired.

The pokemon video games are always changing and always trying to improve upon the last one.

For example, Red and Blue were great starters. yellow came out after that, merging red and blue slightly while still making it almost required that you have those two, or know someone that has those two, so you can get 150 pokemon in your pokedex.

Then Gold and Silver came out, followed by Crystal, introducing 100 new species of pokemon and a new region, as well as allow you to visit Kanto once more. Crystal, doing the same for Gold and Silver, that Yellow did for Red and Blue.

Then came Ruby and Sapphire, followed by Emerald that introduced over 100 more pokemon to the list and a brand new region to explore, the Hoenn Region. Didn't allow you to go back to Johto or Kanto, but it didn't leave a lot to be desired after that. It also introduced pokeblocks and pokemon contests into the mix to give trainers that much more to do in the game.

The remake of Red and Blue, Fire Red and Leaf Green, was released after that, merging the last 3 generations of pokemon games into 2, keeping all the old traditional things, allowing for new areas to be unlocked after beating certain things, but restricted you to the Kanto Region.

Finally came Diamond and Pearl, the 4th generation of gaming to come into play for the Pokemon World, topping the list off at 493 pokemon, introducing yet another region, more gym badges, more ribbons, more contests, poffins, more berries, more attacks, more everything! Even some items that weren't in previous games!

Now Pokemon Platinum is coming out soon and already introducing a new form of Shaymin and Giratina, also introducing a 5 new forms of 1 pokemon (which I'm only guessing is going to be Rotom) and a 3D rendering of the Sinnoh region, as well as a new land where you can find Giratina in its origin form!

Yu-Gi-Oh doesn't have that. Yu-Gi-Oh doesn't come close to that. They can keep releasing new cards, new kinds of cards, and changing the rules of the game, but its still lacking to pokemon. Something traditional whose rules haven't changed, whose styles haven't changed.

Pokemon has stayed the same for over 10 years, and Yu-Gi-Oh has changed many times in just the last 5. Eventually I foresee Yu-Gi-Oh going the way of many trading card games and animes, while Pokemon still stands firm where it is.
