Willieh
I believe there used to be a thread similar to the one about to be created that was made by 2sick4u. So props to him for inspiring this thread. Anyway. It has become blatantly obvious that our generation coming up has no opinion of their own on political topics. It seems as though every opinion they have is either fed to them by the liberal school system, or their parents who are controlled by the media. If you take your average child who goes to a public school and ask them their opinion on a political topic, they will probably tell you the same thing as the next average public educated child. It's the same old wrap everytime, "Bush is stupid and he ruined our country!" Or something of the sort. They normally fail to elaborate on how he is stupid and ruined our country, they just spew the same words that they heard from a liberal teacher or their media induced parents. So what do you think. By all means argue with me. I respect your opinion if you can support your opinion with a fact or at least a sensible response of some sort. So yeah, just post your opinion in a response. Please no flaming, even though I won't neg you for it seeing as this is a debate forum.
Guest JoshIcy
You killed it with the specifics of an individual... Anyway, politics etc is more of a general thing imo. Its up to the person to find a way to read whats going on, as numerous newspapers and media are free which allow everyone to see whats going on. So they have the chance to see how things are going, but will they? I myself don't keep up too much anymore, but if I was needed to form an opinion I'd know how to look.... Bloodrun
the school system, isnt paid to educate the minds of students towards that of the political business.they merely just give them the tools and the directions to the library. the school system should not be required to teach them, as it is impossible to teach someone the political business, without forcing your own side upon them. they, have to decide for themselves, which side they support. and that is, in the words of many. ~Fin. Why shouldn't we be taught what is right, what is wrong? Respect, Love, Compassion, all things we agree should be taught in school, no? Whats wrong with enforcing Contentment, Ideology of Equality, and the repudiation of Reagan's economic philosophy? This is not an argument of law. I don't want you to tell me that that sort of thing is not allowed in a free nation that wants to raise kids without bias and let them develop themselves. I want you to call me out on ethic. As stated in my original post.Find a teacher, that can teach a student, both sides of the story, before using their side of the story to construct the mind of the student. And I will show you an un-biased Human Being.
