Mighty Mage

[Level 4 / Spellcaster / LIGHT / 1500 / 1300]

Once per turn, you may destroy two Spell or Trap cards that your opponent controls and inflict 3000 damage to your opponent's Life Points. If you choose to activate this effect, this card cannot declare an attack this turn.

This is retardedly overpowered.

You are right, its very different. If the Spell is treated as a Monster with 0 ATK it is destroyed, just like in Crabs effect, and since it can do it twice deals 3000 points of damage, just like in Crabs effect. Cept this is more broken cos it can destroy 1 spell and attack a monster in the same battle phase. Yup its different alright, just more overpowered.

It's different because it can only deal that 3k if it gets a successful attack off their's nothing stopping you from activating the spells/trap to destroy it/negate it and it can only deal that 3000 if a spell/trap is on the field hence his effect is more broken than this.
