Olympics, participating underage

Who ever approved this as a debate should be shot.

=/.

It's a poll at the most.

Either way, my two cents is simple:

Age is a perception of boundary, people of a younger nature being disregarded/disallowed certain rights due to a safety, or higher level standard, requirements.

Knowing that, you'd consider what most gloat with the perception of age.

"Ha. Yeah? Well, I'm faster, stronger, smarter and down right better than your kids."

People believe age provides more superiority, which is a misconception of what I provided as the perception of age.

They might argue, "But, we trained until this age to be here, so in fairness, they should to."

Which only buries them further, as if you can't beat someone younger, with less training, preparation and experience than you, you shouldn't even be competing, nor complaining.

=/.

Some douche's these days.

SECONDED.

But who cares? It didn't contribute to China getting the most medals. My prediction came true anyway.

I believe I posted it on another thread somewhere.

"China will probably get the most medals, but I know that the U.S. will win swimming."

I mean, it could be possible, that they weren't underage.

but they so looked like they were.

and, one of the girls in the regular gymnastics, also performed, in syncronated gymnastics, and they announce said she was 14 >_> when in regular gymnastics for the olympics you have to be 16, so, they were underage, and chine did not give confirmation -.-

but i dont care

becuase it was the best, and the best there ever will be.

The girls weren't developed enough to be 16, I mean, I can understand them being flat, but not having any development on the shape of the hips in more than one case is suspicious.

They found birth certificates proving they were underage. They also found several fake birth certificates.

There, discussion over.

The reason it is bad for kids under 16 to enter, is because it screws with their development. The under-age female atheletes will very likely have really damn painful periods, etc, because their bodies underwent great strain in area that was still developing (the hips). It happens to quite a lot of insanely young atheletes - they end up completely messed in older life with spinal and back problems and so on.

Yes. Younger children should be rotting their brain on the TV, getting fat and not striving to accomplish something they've always dreamed of, and also developing their body into great athletic condition at a very young age.

Yes, your are definitely right. Better fat kids who believe every word the media says than athletic kids who put effort in something.
