No, it doesn't.

No matter whether you're titling topics or reading cards, you don't seem to display much proficiency with the English language.

i did.. he has to pay it or its destroyed.. and it says if u can then u pay it.. he has 500 LP left so which is it??

It says "IF YOU DO NOT, THEN THIS CARD IS DESTROYED."

Meaning that if he chooses not to pay 500 Life Points, the card is destroyed.

Dude.

The card is destroyed.

It gives you the option. If he chooses to pay 500 LP then he loses. If he wants it to be destroyed' date=' then it's destroyed. :/

That's wrong.

To answer this question: He has 500 LP so once it reaches his Standby Phases he loses the duel because the effect reads, "Pay 500 Life Points during each of your Standby Phases. If you cannot, this card is destroyed." He can still pay 500 LP therefore he HAS to pay. Congrats, you won!

Protip: If you don't know how to play Yu-Gi-Oh!, then don't answer questions about the game.

The cost, like most maintenance costs (such as Messenger of Peace and Imperial Order) is optional whether you have 500, 5000, or 50000 Life Points left. You can just choose not to pay and blow it up at any time.

Each time a monster on your opponent's side of the field attacks' date=' toss a coin and call Heads or Tails. If you call right, the attacking monster's ATK becomes 0 only during the Battle Phase. Pay 500 Life Points during each of your Standby Phases. If you do not, this card is destroyed.[/quote']

Why is it that nobody seems capable of reading around here?

Where's your proof at? Show us the actual card. I just read one that said, "...If you cannot..."

Also, I'm fairly sure that the basic rules of the game don't allow you to pay a cost that would make your Life Points less than or equal to zero.

Son of a gun' date=' since when did they change that card's effect!? >_<

Take a look at this one: http://www.pokeorder.com/yudabe1fabox.html

Look real close at the picture shown there, and you'll see that it still says "do not". The person who typed up the effect next to it copied it wrong.

They made a typo.

If you look really closely at the effect on the card at that link, it says "If you do not."

Lol, I just noticed that and edited my last post. This thread should get locked already. =)

The irony is that the question has already been answered multiple times now and the topic has already been requested to be locked. Therefore, your post is spam, whereas the discussion that preceded it is not.
