Divine Neos TCG effect

Recommended Posts

I found this on shriektcg CSOC spoiler and it seems that Divine Neos is only in need of 5 monsters instead of 6.

Here is the effect:

This card cannot be Special Summoned except by Fusion Summon. This card is Fusion Summoned by using 5 "Neos", "Neo-Spacian", or "HERO" monsters (at least 1 of each) as Fusion Material Monsters. Once per turn, by removing from play a "Neos", "Neo-Spacian", or "HERO" monster from your Graveyard, increase this card's ATK by 500 points. Furthermore, until the End Phase, it gains the effect of the monster that was removed from play.

Please note that the official ruling of Divine Neos is that you CAN use Neo Space Pathfinder as a "Neos" Fusion Material, bc in it's original Japanese name, Neospace Conductor, contains the "Neos" name. This ruling is made legal in Japan so we might get that too.

I assume the effect's exact wording will be different. After all, Stratos and Ocean also said "HERO", but ended up as "Elemental, Destiny, or Evil Hero".

I don't think so. "HERO" is all capitalized' date=' so it means the E,D and Evil Heroes. Hero Kid is just "Hero" Kid.

[/quote']

Hero is written the same on E-Heroes, D-Heroes, and E.Heroes as it is on Hero Kid.

They probably figured that, since they'll need a specific ruling to fix the Neo-Space Pathfinder problem, they may as well just save some card space and make a specific ruling on Hero Kid too.

Just so we're clear' date=' you can't "Prisma" for this, right?

[/quote']

You can, because JAPAN CAN!

important fact on yugioh: if japan can, not neccesary we can...

otherwise, victory dragon being banned because japan rulings is amazingly stupid...

Well, you can't Prisma for FGD because it changes it's name, not it's type. No matter how you do it, Prisma won't be a Dragon-type.

And I think Rainbow Neos might work because "lol jaden did it on the tv show and i wanna be just like him olololo!"

This card would be decent - not godly, just, barely, decent - if the monsters it depends to be Summoned were even half-decent.

But no. Elemental Heroes have lots of vanillas, Destiny Heroes suck as a theme (and lack the essential features of an archetype), Evil Heroes are built upon a failure of a concept, and Neo-Spacians JUST suck.

Finally. It's about time.

I wish you didn't need a Neos monster, but just 5 Neos, Neo-Spacian or HERO monsters.

If I want to use this in a DAD deck for example, I'll have to use random stuff like E-Hero Neos (Alius) as Trade-In Food/a beatstick.

I'm willing to give that a try, though, but I think it'll end up in dead draws.

Running a Lv4 as trade-in food? Pro.

Yep.

I prefer Neos Alius as Trade-In food and Neos as a beatstick.

It's more or less because of Japanese rules on forfeiting and MCV being a big deck type way back then.

It'll be interesting to see the rulings on this card again.

Sigh... guess the "HERO" vs "Hero" problem is ever so persistent.

You don't even need to Prisma for this, Prisma's a fusion-material on its own. But in theory, you can, because it changes the name, and the name is the only specification for it.

Fail card is fail, although getting the effects of Plasma and Dark Panther when your opponent has out JD is... rather humorous.

Here are the cards you can use for a "Neos" Fusion Material. (Note that this means that any card with Neos in it's name can be used for the Fusion

EH Neos

EH Neos Alius

Neos Wiseman

Neo Space Pathfinder (this ruling is true bc it's Japanese name is Neospace Conductor)

Rainbow Neos (if you can get in to the Grave)
