No actually, as Bloodrun is now the Main Mod of CC, as i wished him to be, im giving Bloodrun Control over Realistic Cards Rules, hopefully he will be making new ones, if you have suggestions for what should stay, go or be added, say it here!

This thread will contain, but not be limited to, Rules, Ideas, and more Rules.

 

Help me, Help you:

Members, in order to make the Custom Cards section run as smoothly as possible, we need to make sure that things that shouldn't be here are reported. Such as, swearing, porn, spam, etc.

 

 

Myself and the other Custom Cards mods, would appreciate it, if you would help us, by using the report button whenever you see someone not following the rules. We would also like it, if you did not post in said threads, that are not following the rules, as it just invites more problems.

 

 

We want to make sure that every member enjoys his or her stay here, and to do that we need to make sure that things are taken care of, and no one is getting attacked. So, help us, help you, and your stay here will be fantastic. I garuntee it!

RULES:

 

1 - I will be officially enforcing the Image Credit Rule. At first, the rule will be set to the standards that you must at least credit the artist, somewhere in your thread and or card. By Crediting I mean, providing the name of the artist.

Note: If this rule isn't followed by the majority of the members, I will be forced to making the rule set to: You must provide the name of the artist, and the link to where you found the picture. If even that is not followed, your thread will be locked, never to be un-locked again.

Also, I know that there are some members who get their pictures from places like Google, and Photobucket, if so, just provide the link.

 

2 - Spamming/Flaming/Argueing/Swearing (and anything else that might fit into that category) will not be accepted in these forums. Just like in any other forums. A thread that has an excessive amount of spamming/flaming/argueing and or swearing will be locked. We are here to post cards, and improve on our card making skills, this isn't for debating.

 

3 - Card Rating, the rating of a card, is a good way to show what members think of another members card(s). But, an explanation with it, is always a good thing. Wich is why you must now include more then just "7/10 Good Job!" in your posts. Now I'm not going to give you a quideline to follow, but, a simple explanation will suffice.

 

4 - Thread Titles I've been noticing how the tittles around here have an excessive amount of un-needed characters. Like "Come and post now!!!!!!!" or "If you don't look here, you will die!".

That is not needed in any form or fashion. Be to the point, and you'll be fine. I will simply edit the tittles if I see anything like that, if the same member changes the tittle, I will lock the thread, and it will remained locked, until said member can learn and or tell me what I locked his/her thread. This also includes names tags, such as: "Bloodrun Productions" or "A Bloodrun Single".

Note: Points and Reps, (bribing) is not allowed. Do not bribe people to post in your thread.

 

5 - Repeated Offenses now obviously a forum full of locked threads, is really ugly. Which, is why this rule is in place. If a member commits the same act twice, after a warning the first time, I will insue a +2 Warning Increase, on him or her. If the same act, is repeated a third time, another +2 will be issued. Any more repeats of the same act after the third, that member will be banned from CC Section for 1 day. And, if said member again repeats the same act, consequences will be left to that of the entire moderation team.

 

6 - Posting Effects if the effect of a created card is unable to be read at first glance. Then that effect must be Copied & Pasted into a spoiler. This is just simple courtesy for those members who are kind enough to rate your cards.

 

7 - Threads that should be reported, ok the threads that you know should be reported, whether it contain, spam, porn, etc.. DO NOT POST IN THEM. Report them, but DO NOT! post in them. It only invites more spam, and chaos.

 

8 - Cards not allowed in Realistic Section Cards that have other Types, besides the previously used Types in the Yugioh Card Game should not be posted in this forum, but in Other Cards. The same goes for DIVINE Monsters.

 

9 - IMG Codes attachments will not be allowed. It is annoying for those who rate your cards, and it is time consuming for more then 5 cards. You may get the IMG code of your cards, by simply clicking on the picture of the card, while you are using the Card Maker, and copying and pasting the code that will appear beneeth your card. You may also use websites such as:

www.tinypic.com

www.photobucket.com

 

10 - Bumping Threads that have not been posted in, for more then 5 days cannot be bumped(this includes the posts made by you that are bumps), at all. Threads can only be bumped once, in 24, and can only be bumped a total of 3 times.

 

11 - Reported Threads

 

As of today, September 4th, 2008. Any Topics that are breaking the rules, and need to be reported, must not be posted in.

Now, some exclusions apply here, such as:

 

1) Threads that have cards, but no artist credit- You may still post in them, but only about the card, then just simply report the thread for not having a credit. Don't mention anything, about the rules they have broken. Becuase usually members tend to be harsh. So, again, don't mention anything about the rules they have broken.

 

2) Threads that do not contain any cards. Do not post in them, only Report.

 

The "punishment" for not following this rule, will be a +2 increase in your warning.

I have set this rule, becuase posting in threads that are breaking the rules, just invites spam, and by the time one member has posted about the creator of the thread breaking the rule, 7 others will have to.

So please, just follow this rule, and everything will go as planned.

Korhal, i actually really like your first suggestion, (that really bothered me before)

 

Your second suggestion however, is like telling someone, who has speech impairment that they cannot speak when there spoken to. I mean yes it would be nice, but it is a foolish rule to enforce.

 

The third suggestion is good. Except it would be more like, If the effect is hard to read at first glance, it must be copied and pasted.

 

As I am in class right now, I cannot get started on the rules. But once im out of class, I will, and rest assured, no stone will left untouched.

2. - Define Realistic Cards. If you post an example or two, *voted on by the majority of the members* of what a Realistic Custom Card suposedly looks like, there may be less of a chance to find pop-culture or any other cards, in this section. I suggest doing this to pop culture as well.

Cards that should be posted in realistic cards IMO should ACTUALLY BE realistic. I sometimes see some cards with a pixelly pic, a WTF? effect and overpowerness at its fullest. I think that you get what i mean

The Definition of a Realistic Card. A Realistic Card, is simple a created card that more or less, shows the uniqueness of an actual Yugioh Card. Like:

The image is professional.

The name is unique.

The effect is unique, and able to understand.

The power is balanced, and fit for the specific type of card.

 

Those all suggest what a Realistic Card is. This is how a Realistic Card should look like:

 

 

World Dragon

 

 

[spoiler=Effect]This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned by Tributing 3 monsters you control with different Attributes and send them to the Graveyard. The Attribute of this card is also treated as WATER, FIRE, DARK, LIGHT, and WIND. When this card is Summoned, you can activate 1 of the following effects: - As long as this card remains face-up, the field is treated as "World Dragon" and all monsters on the field gain 100 DEF and when this card would be destroyed, destroy all monsters on the field. Once per turn, instead of attacking, you can select and activate 1 of the following effects: - Return all face-up monsters your opponent controls to their hand. - Destroy 1 monster your opponent controls and inflict damage to your opponent equal to the DEF of the destroyed card. - Negate the effects of all face-down Spell & Trap Cards your opponent controls until your next End Phase.

to expand on #2, i wouldnt mind it my Allies were stickied as an example. XD (just kidding.... unless you really will consider it, in which case i am serious.)

 

i would like to see more enforcement of "Realistic Cards." by this i would like to see "Realistic Cards that arent repeats."

 

some people just make a card with the exact same effect of a card that already exists.. and we dont get impressed with it.

 

i have no idea of how to enforce that without sounding like a dictator, so i wont propose a solution. ^_^

If the image is from a member on this site, then all that is needed is the name of the member, and or anything else they want you to do.

And these rules will be fully taken into effect tomorrow.

Any old threads will be left out of the equation.
