Ok then, before all of you begin to complain about this being the 500th Brawl contest or something like that, this ain't ur ordinary Brawl contest. This isn't about the most balanced Brawl card, best effect etc, its about the funniest Brawl cards. Thats right, you could make a card that shows, i dunno, PIKACHU giving SQUIRTLE a nipple twister or something like that...

 

Anyway, i'll be rating the cards on how funny the Image, Title, Type and Effect/Description is, but also you will be given more credit (And a better chance of winning) if you use images from the actual Game. This doesn't mean that you will definatly win if you use an image from the actual game or lose because you used a hand drawn image etc, your just more likely to win.

 

Apart from that, there arn't that many rules. The prizes are:

 

1st: 3 Rep Points

2nd: 2 Rep Points

3rd: 1 Rep Point

 

The dedline for this is the 28th September 2008, and when that happens I shall start to check all of the cards and decide who the winner is, which will be decided by 3 stages/phases (Which will be explained at that time).

Edit: Oh, I almost forgot. This is excactly how i'll be rating your cards:

 

3/10 for the image, 1 for the image being from the actual game (Optional), the other 2 if the image is actually funny.

3/10 for the Description, the funnier it is, the more points you get.

2/10 for the Title, 1 for the appropriateness of the Title, the other 1 for it being funny.

 

Also, an extra 2/10 depending on how funny i think ti is overall, so if i only chuckled, 0.5/10, but if i was crying with laughter for instance, 2/10.

 

This way, you can't just win over a funny image.

 

This needed to be changed, as since the Spell and Trap Cards don't have a Type, they're going to lose points, hence why I've altered this again )And hopefully, for the last time.

Ok then, so far so good. Here is what i think about your cards so far:

 

Applesauce, foryour "Brawl Butterfly":

 

Image: VERY FUNNY LOL! And from the actual game as well, well done! 3/3

Description: I can't read it, so 0/3

Title: Its funny (and unexpected), and it matches the Image/card as well so; 1.5/2

 

Also, this card actualy made me laugh for quite a while, so for the extra points; 1.5/2

 

Overall; 6/10. Make sure i can read the Effect next time! thats my only advice

 

Now for your "Ganondwarf"

 

Image: Its funny, but not as funny as before, and it isn't from the actual game; 1/3

Title: Heh, suprised me a bit this; 1.5/2

Effect: None of it is funny what so ever; 0/3

 

Extras: funny, but not as funny as ur first; 0.5/2

 

Overall, 3/10. Stick with the first one!

 

Remember everyone, the cards that should be made here arn't all about being balanced etc, its all about them being funny. So you know, a funny image, funny type, funny description etc

Flinsbon, for the card "Sonic Taunt-Your too Slow!";

 

Image: Its from the actual game, and its quite funny (Sonic frowning at the screen). Plus I like sonic so; 2.5/3

Title: Its appropriate and funny, well done! 2/2

Description: Its a little bit funny, but again I Like sonic so; 1/3

Extras: It made me laugh, but not as much as your first one; 1/2

 

Overall: 6.5. A Great Improvement so well done.

 

Oh, and I forgot to mention that when i decide who the winner is, if someone has used more than one card, it's your card that has the best rating that I will be taking into consideration when I decide the winner. This means I'll be using the "Sonic Taunt-Your Too Slow!" card rather than the "Warch Your Mouth" Card, Flinsbon.

 

Anyway, Arekku, for your "Hey! Listen!" card;

 

Image: It's not that funny, but it does match the Title (Yes, the whole Title needs to match the Image rule does work both ways as well) and its from the actual game so; 2/3

Title: Very Funny, and so true! 2/2

Effect: Not that funny. sorry; 0/3

Extras: This made me laugh, most likely because its true! 1/2

 

Overall; 5/10. I'd like to see a funny effect next time!

 

Finally Crystal Beast,for your "Into the Bulborb!" card;

 

Image: Its from the game and its funny as well. But why is Kind DeDeDe going in as well? 2/3

Anyway, its only 3 days left until I start judging, so please hurry up with ur cards. Also, one of the ways i'll be judging the winner will involve me and a volenteer to help me decide thw overall winner. So anyone who wants to help me when that time comes please say now! A last ditch attempt for the prize, effect:If this card is Special Summoned by the effect of "The Nice One - Ness", remove from play, the common sense of "Drunk Lucas". Also, destroy what is left of the little self-esteem that he had before "Budweiser" was Summoned to the field and send it to the Graveyard. When this card is destroyed by the effect of "Budweiser", this card will throw up. Maybe don't Summon this card at all...EVER!!!

Overall: 8.5/10. Heh, your the best Brawl card maker i've seen so far (Well, funny Brawl cards anyway).

 

Also i just had a thought. I'f seen many games where Mario is a tennis player, a golf player, a football player, a Dr, a fighter, a JumpMan, a party contestant (Mario Party) etc, but i've not seen many games where he's a plumber. WTF?

 

Anyway, Tyler2020, thats not really a Brawl card, so i can't rate that. Sorry.

 

Ok everyone, the dedline is tommorrow at 7:00pm. by that time, you must of posted your card by then, otherwise i can't rate it. Don't worry if your card isn't rated by 7:00pm, because your card is still in the compatition, I just probably havn't got round to rating it yet. Oh, and i'll explain how i'll be voting for the winner as well.

Anyway, its past 7:00pm now, so everyone please stop posting in your cards...NOW! Right, here is how i'm going to decide the winner; in 3 stages. The First stage is quite simple really; all contestants who's best card was given a rating of 6/10 or above will go onto the next stage. Everyone else will be eliminated.

 

The people who have made it into the next stage are:

 

Applesauce, with the card "Brawl Butterfly" 6/10

Crystal Beast, "Into the Bulborb!" 7/10

Flinsbon, "Denied" 9/10

RAWMansonBoy, "Drunk Lucas" 9.5/10

 

Everyone else, sorry but you have been eliminated.

 

Now, for the 2nd stage, i was planning on makinga Poll, so that the public could decide which 5-6 contestants (Depending on how many contestants got through the first stage) will go through to the 3rd stage. But since theres only 4 contestants that have got through, we can just skip to the next round.

 

For the 3rd stage, its going to be like a tourament, except not as big since we only have 4 contestants. tommorrow, I will post who will be against who (as in, 1 v 1), and for each pair I shall give them a challange, such as make a funny card related to sonic or an attack etc (Which i shall also PM to them as well), and in each pair, the contestant that has made the funniest card, thats also closely related to the challange, will go through to the finals. As usual, I shall rate these cards like before except this time, I will obviously be rating on how closely related the card is to the challange's requirements (Which I shall go into more detail tommorrow). The contestant with the highest rating will go onto the finals.

 

Anyway, i'll go into more detail about this tommorrow, so stay tuned.

Ok then everyone, this is how we are going to do it. In the semi-finals, it shall be:

 

Flinsbon v Applesauce

RAWMasonBoy v Crystal Beast

 

and the winners out of these twopairs will go onto the finals.

 

Ok, Flinsbon and Applesauce the challange i'm giving you two is this: I would like both of you to make a funny Brawl card (Either s Monster, Spell or Trap, i don't really mind, even though with this challange, you might have more luck with a Spell/Trap card) based on an item that you can use in the game. So it could be like a card based on a Pokeball/Pokemon, Mr Saturn etc, and even the smash ball as well (Even though with this one, you can't show the actualy final smash, either only the smash ball or both), i don't really mind as long as its funny and related to an item, you'll be ok.

 

Now for you two, RAWMasonBoy and Crystal Beast, i'd like you two to make a funny Brawl card based on one of the character's taunts, so you could refrase the words spoken, take the mickey out of one their taunts etc. I'd advise you two to make a Monster card for this, even though it would still work if you made a Spell/trap card for this.

 

Now, i shall rate this as i normally do, except most of the points will be rewarded on how funny it is and how closely related the card is to the challange. Basically, just follow the requirements of the challange and make the cards image, title and description funny, and you'll be just fine.

 

Oh, and each of you can post more than one cad if you want, but remember that the card with the highest rating is the one i shall be taking into account. I shall wait for all 4 of you to post a card (or cards) for a week, that is, by the 5th of October (Sunday). If one of you hasn't posted their card(s) by then, you will be eliminated and your oppoment will go into the finals (Unless you have a reason why you can't post the card in time, which you should say to me by PM). Also, if all of you have posted your card(s) before the 5th, then i shall start judging them straight away.
