Kroama Posted September 10, 2008 Report Share Posted September 10, 2008 K, less text now. This is my Zerg deck, meant to play around Zerg Larva tokens. Though i haven't made then, Zerg Larva tokens will be able to be used as tributes for Zerg-Type monsters (level 1) , and Morphalisk tokens will act as tributes for special summon, at the normal cost + 1 (i.e., 4-=1 M token, 5-6=2, 7+=3). The monsters have been called overpowered, and i've been editing them here and there, repeatedly, as well as working with some OCG or whatever. The synchro are more like contact fusers, similar to future zombie synchro to come out, and as they are 1 level higher than their predesessor, they are barely stronger, as all larva tokens will be level 1. Mostly, pictures were taken from DeviantArt and Google. Suggestions are not only welcomed, but also requested.Note: A lot of my pictures (a lot of terrans primarily) really could use new pictures. I understand that, and i'll work toward it in the future, for now i'm going to use what pictures i can get... any good pictures anyone knows of then send em my way. ZergThis deck's idea is supposed to be about swarm. With the easy-special summoner i added, it will make it better, along with the standby phase, your field becoming flooded with zerg-tributeable tokens that can also be used as i said above, (synchro - hero), or an interesting defense.[spoiler=Zerg] 1 Overlord + 1 or more non-tuner monsters.When this monster is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, Special Summon 1 "Zerg Larva" token. If this card is destroyed by a card effect, skip your opponent's next Draw Phase. If this card is destroyed as a result of battle, draw a card. _________Added after the ones above... Terran (more cards to come)This deck is run around the idea of indirectly fighting your opponent, by getting rid of threats before attempting attacks and then bringing down stronger mechanical units for the attacking part. Kroama Posted September 10, 2008 Author Report Share Posted September 10, 2008 I'm thinking of making a lot of hero synchro... like for instance, changing morphalisk to level 1, and then making it like.. you know good ol sc? devouring one would have same effect as zergling, only with higher attack and at level 4, not too much higher, mind you, as zerg larva token will be easy to get out, but they are also what this set is meant to play around, so i think it would be a good addon ^.^ and i plan to do so, thanks for the rating whitefang... nty max, please leave a reason :gonk:... Lurker's effect cannot be worded that way. Maggot Festival and Zerg Resistance cannot use that effect efficiently. You should swap out Tribute for Send. I agree with several, and im slowly editing them here and there, but some i want to keep the way they are despite some effects, although im looking and thinking how to change things around.Oh, and i'm also editing some card text like the drone that says 'add one level 4 or lower Zerg' now says , add 1 level 4 or lower Zerg-Type' Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Kroama Posted September 12, 2008 Author Report Share Posted September 12, 2008 Your just making the same suggestion as the first person to make a good criticism >.<'... and i'm working toward down-sizeing several of them, but i would look at this set as to not use 'any other' non-zerg-related cards like monster-reborn or mirror-force so i tried making new and 'stacrafting' the already known cards but edit the effects appropriately... like the '2 normal summons per turn' you 'have' to pay to keep the card, you can't get rid of it cept w/ another card effect, even though only zerg can use it. ---i've tried some re-editing, and fixing effects (wording wise), any more critics, maybe for some cards in particular? (besides baneling please T.T)--------------------------------------------------------------------------------i've edited it here and there, any more 'over-powered stills' please tell me which ones and how specifically so i can maybe agree with you and fixNow I’ve added stuff, and fixed some OCG or w/e, might have become more unbalanced In the process… anyway, set id is messed up a little, torrasque should be SC2-027, as only 28 cards as of now… but ah well. Nukes, Banshees, the siege tanks, many times they are about long range and indirects so it would mean that most would concentrate less on the monsters and more on dealing direct damage. That's generally what my take is. Also, your Zergs should be revised because the main point of the Zerg is to overwhelm your opponent with masses of monsters. Tokens, sacifices that are easily replaced. Generally, you should make more level 6 cards. Protoss follows the path of the strong duke nukem so they would be heavier on the units, focusing on the godlike stuff. Like giving the carier the ability to attack all monsters at once... Kroama2 Posted September 13, 2008 Report Share Posted September 13, 2008 so, what... maybe change corruptor to make him a 5-6 star? considering the zerg larva token, what this zerg deck is made to run around, i could easily pull down high levels, and with the larva it does overwhelm in a way, as though if i have it running right every standby phase more attack blockers come on to the field, and i agree about the terran, thats my next plan(btw, this is my terran profile, i use others so i don't mix the cards, forgot i was in this profile and was too lazy to log out and relog in just to post this) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I am simply making it easier to differientiate between my starcraft decks. I'm also going to change some zerg monsters to make them stronger, like you said, tokens that are easily replaced.---As said above, i've now added terran, not all of them, mind you, as i plan to add more spell and traps of course. ---Now added spoilers and another terran unit, as well as changing around a couple of other unit stats. Granted, there are some major problems (read: fake types are FTEL), and the OCG could use some work (read: lrn2meta), but you've made playable cards without being up-to-date in the game. There are even the standard really bad cards à la Jain, Gragonith: the Synchros (except Overseer, who needs serious OCG overhaul) and the Ritual (Rituals suck). Worst part is, Zerg Larvas do nothing and have no stats, so define those wherever they're Summoned. Haven't seen Terrans yet. If you'd like, I could help out a bit with the swarm aspect. I'll look at the overseer later, and erm... the fake types, i've talked to a bunch of people about them, but i just can't bring mysefl to make them fiends. Terrans can be warriors n machines easy, protoss even can be machines and some... reptiles and psykicks and what not... but zergs are all zerg, fiend or not they're their own race in a whole. Even their buildings are zerg you know?And yeah, i need to give stats to larva token, (planning for level 1 earth 0/0 in the right format, but not putting them on the card text that brings em out, just for space issue... i'll fine a way but yeah i know they need stats) And yeah, not sure if i use your ideas but send any idea you have my way.
