Some Play-Around Shenanigans with Samurai

Saiyan Knight

Recommended Posts

Well, a while ago my friend said he wanted a Burn deck based on Fire monsters, and I was being a smartass and replied "The Six Samurai could do it". He insisted I make a list.

The basic plan should be pretty straight-forward. Mash through their life with Six Samurai and Synchro Monsters, primarily of the Fire variety, then respond to any impending threat with a variable 1500-2800 burn with a single Kurenai. I guess it could be only 300 if you did it to a Nitro Synchron, but... Seriously... I doubt that'll happen.

If you played a Spell on the turn you assault with a Nitro Warrior, you could be handing out 3800 with just it's attack, then 2800 with the Kurenai in response to some crazy response they have.

Originally I didn't think anything of the build, but with Solemns running around so much, I started to wonder if it would be worth it.

If you played all three Kurenai, that would be anywhere from 2100 [Two Nitro Synchron and a Kamon] to 8100 [Two Nitro Warrior and a Great Shogun Shien]. Then you have another 2000 in Tremendous Fires. Minumum 500, realistic 1500-2000, with Ceasefire. I think it has potential.

Also, Double-Edged fuels Hand, Ceasfire, Kurenai, Six Samurai United, enables Grandmaster and Shien, destroys backrow, if you bring back Yaichi, destroys monsters if you bring back hand, and gives you a launch for Cunning, making your battle-damage bigger.

My specialties are crazy and pro.

If you haven't actually tried this out, and want to give Six Samurai a shot, this is a solid build right now, amplified by the meta. I do worry that Tele-DAD will out-speed it though, so, it would probably be wise to make a hefty side-deck against it.

Actually, I think I'll add the side-deck. Editing now.

I get the impression that you're a kind of one-track guy? Six Samurais the only deck type that you like? :)

Yeah, he's like Andrew for Samurai. Also Meteor of Destruction over Tremendous Fire. Also 2 Instant Fusion with 2 tuners is yuck. I say -2 Instant Fusion for +1 Mystical and +1 Magic Cylinder.

Not exactly' date=' but close. They're my hands-down favorite. Been using them since the Japanese release date, and only used a different deck in one tournament since. Six Samurai are my homies.

+gyrazus

There is no Brain Control or Mind Control, making even the possibility of having Gyzarus Special Summoned is gone. With no function, and Heraklinos being a Fire Attribute, he is a fair mascot. Also, Secret Rares are my favorite rarity.

When it comes to aesthetics: Heraklinos = Fire > Dark = Gyzarus

I was thinking of Meteor of Destruction, but the fact is that if I can't pay the 500, I'm already going to lose, and you can't use Meteor of Destruction as a game-winner, since it can't hit them anymore if they're at 3000. Also, two Instant Fusion with two Tuners is better than a backrow killer and a non-chainable burn card. Even if you think of it as an attack stopper, it can't remove the immediate problem. Gross. Also, that would mean I'd need to either replace the Tuners with something or use Grandmaster, and that's gross. However, the Tuners do provide extra drawing, with what I use them for: The biggest Kurenai target available to the deck, a field-smasher, a Stardust Killer, a DAD-killer, and a self-3800 when you used Instant Fusion to bring it out.

Xemba' date='no....Hes WAY better than Andrew, Andrew is like whiney and is pretty crappy when it comes to deckbuilding...but Saiyan Knight actually knows what hes talking about >.<

I don't know who Andrew is, but I appreciate the compliment. Thanks. =J
