Is this within my power?

  1. 1. Is this within my power?

    • Anyone can make this.
    • We can trust your judgment.
    • You seem good enough, but there's a lot of room for bias.
    • We can't trust just one person's judgment.
    • No one can make this, much less you.

So.. pictures...

This is what makes the card fancy XD.

You'll need to check a lot the realistic cards to see if people are overusing the pic.

Mainly the pics are from Google.. i guess :/.

Try Deviant Art, Photobucket, and other sources to find new pics.

And the Pic archives at showcase section are not ''original'', since many people use them.

Sometimes, to show off, you can take a render and make a background to make ur own pic ^_^.

If you get a holo for the pic, it'll be more original, and the pic will be more cool :P.

This will be more card to identify, but still, check on cards to see if there are overused pics :P.

Tip: Remember the disclaimers.

Not much to teach in this thingy.. :D

It didn't; rather, it saved you from Gyzarus. You'll take Lv1 OCG (like Gyzarus students), but other than that, all your other courses will be Lv2. Now I just need the points, and you're in.

I understand everything. ^^

teramaster | [Timing] | [supreme Gamesmaster]

First part:

Continuous Spells can be activated from hand directly, where as C.Traps, as any other traps, must be set and cannot be activated the turn they are set. ALso, C.Spells have only Spell Speed 1, whereas Continuous Traps have the Spell Speed 2, therefore C.Traps can be chained to other effects of speed 1 or 2.

Second part: I'll make some tomorrow.

So... we'll start by looking at the metagame right now. In tiers, I would say the deck themes are:

Tier 1

•(Telekinetic) Dark Armed Synchro "(Tele)DADchro"

•Gladiator Beast Synchro "Gladchro"

•Zombie Control Synchro "Zombiechro-Swarm"

Tier 2

•Six Samurai Control Synchro "SixSamchros"

•Macro Monarch (Synchro) "MM(chros)"

•Lightsworn (Synchro) "Lightsworn (Lightswornchro)"

•Counter Fairy Synchro "Counter Fairychro"

Tier 3

•Elemental Hero Control "Big City"

•Elemental Hero Fusion "Little City" or "Old-School"

Any objections or additions? Also, what do you think falls into Tier 4?

teramaster | Timing | Supreme Gamesmaster

Well, yes, that has been established. However, you can activate Counter Trap Cards during your opponent's Standby Phase. That is of significance in their strategic value, by the way.

Hello SGY.

Though I am not very active anymore, I'd like to apply for a teaching job. I think you require me to show you a card. hmmm... I could barely decide. I picked this one, it is the only card that I have made that has gotten over 3 pages of replies in a long time... my re-done Winged Dragon of Ra. Eh.. I think its good.

If my name itself doesn't get me in, in the first place, I have my card for you right here:

The Solarflare Dragon, Ra

43114bi5.jpg

This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned by Tributing 2 face-up Pyro-Type monsters you control and sending them to the Graveyard. When this card is Summoned, you can pay up to half your Life Points and destroy all monsters you control (excluding this card). Raise the ATK of this card by half that amount. Once per turn, instead of attacking, you can put 1 Ra Counter on this card. You can remove a number of Ra Counters from this card to destroy 1 face-up monster your opponent controls that has an ATK less than or equal to the number of Ra Counters removed x 2000 and inflict 900 damage to your opponent. This card is unnaffected by the effects of your opponent's Spell Cards. As long as this card remains face-up, you cannot Summon monsters.

Eh... If I dont get in... oh well...

But... what do Counter Traps have to do with this assignment? I thought this was about continuous spells/traps. (Btw when I said C.Traps, I meant Continuous traps) Any traps can be activated during Standby phase o.o Cards that can be activated during any phase are all Traps and Quick-play spells. Even multi-trigger effects of monsters, like Horus LV8 or Sorcerer of Dark Magic, can be activated in any phase... isn't that obvious?

And Continuous spells can only be activated during Main Phases. (that's the meaning of a card being spell speed 1) That's what I was trying to say with the spell speed thing. The statement that Cont.Traps are spell speed 2 includes everything above, plus, they cannot be activated in response to a Counter trap card because of that speed.

Anyway, part 2 of the assignment:

41027lk7.jpg

(credits: Decadent Progression, Right )

Explanation: This card has an effect similar to that of a normal spell, which would imply, it can only be activated during Main phase; and it also proves that Cont.Traps can remain on the field face-up. The fact that no Cont.Trap cards can be chained would imply that usually Continuous Traps can be chained in response to another card's effect. Finally, the last effect shows that this card must remain face-up in order for its effect to work.

I think that would cover it.

Hunter... ACCEPTED. Would you like to attempt any Dark Armed Dragon-level courses as well?

Blitzer... ACCEPTED. You're in JD Dorm, and are taking Balancing by default. Anything else?

Necro-Lord... ACCEPTED. You're in JD dorm. What classes would you like?

Dragon God... ACCEPTED. You're in Gyzarus dorm, and are taking all 3 classes by default.

kid23... denied until tuition is received.

teramaster | Timing | Supreme Gamesmaster

Typo. Meant to say Continuous Traps.
Because Counter Trap Cards may activate during your opponent's Standby Phase, they may conflict with other effects that activate during the Standby Phase (as opposed to resolving, as a Continuous Spell Card may interfere with).

As for the card... eh, I'll take it. 66, plus an 8 to the explanation... 73%, not a bad start.

Ah. This means I'm going to be doing quite a bit of teaching.

A 'tier' is a level of playability. The lower the tier number, the better. Therefore, Tier 1 Decks are the best Decks, followed by Tier 2 Decks, Tier 3 Decks, etc.

Tier 1 Decks in YGO need to be blindingly fast, have impenetrable counterability, and able to destroy the opponent's resources. One might argue that YGO is about being superior in technological prowess, technology being the art of using resources to solve problems.

Tiers 2, 3, and so on are just not as fast as Tier 1. However, Tier 2 Decks are close to Tier 1, and may actually defeat them on occasion. Tier 2 includes Swornchro, SMMchro, and SixSamchro.

Truly great cards will be able to make Tier 1 include as many Decks as possible.

Necro-Lord | OCG | Supreme Gamesmaster

Level 2 OCG... You understand the basics, but need assistance in consistency with full OCG. Subjects will include:

•Equip Spell Cards

•Continuous Spell Cards

•Field Spell Cards

•Continuous Trap Cards

•Counter Trap Cards

•Sentence Flow

•Punctuation

•Capitalization

•Tokens

•Counters

By the end of the course, you should have nearly mastered OCG, and at least be able to have consistent OCG above my 700 mark. Understood?
