Description: Gah... I'm stressed. My new fan-fic is going along well, and the first chapter is all planned out and ready to be written. Only problem is, the two main character's decks aren't working! I really don't want to have to resort to this, but I guess I must... Now, here's where you come into play. I want to see who can come up with the most creative archetypes for the two characters below. You can enter for just one, or for both; the two will be judged apart from one another, so your entry for one character will not affect an entry for the other.

 

Prizes: The winning entry for each character will receive 3 +reps. One person can win both contests, so there is a possibility that you will win 6 reps in total! Who doesn't like that? If you win, however, you will have to let me enter your cards in my fan-fic and make more in the same vein when needed: no cards, no reps. (I will still consult you about any new cards, though, and all credit to the original theme will be given to you.)

 

Requirements: I am only accepted created archetypes. I could have just made a deck out of cards that already existed, and if I did, I wouldn't need this contest. You will also be dropped for serious consideration if you don't post new cards. I'd like some fresh cards to use, please. Finally, don't make any of the effects too complicated, simple for my sake; it's nearly impossible to remember the effects of all the cards. Now that that's taken care of, you will need to submit the following:

 

Name of Archetype: Simple enough.

Their Origin: What they are based on. All cards have a source idea, so don't give me any excuses.

The Effect Theme: If there is a theme to the cards' effects (changing battle position, recycling cards, etc.), please present this. You can also leave this blank if the effects don't have a theme.

Monster Appearance: Give me a visual description

Cards Examples: Probably the most important part. You must provide me with examples of the following. They can be written or pictured; it doesn't influence your score. If pictures are used, please give your sources, if you can find them.

End Date: The end date will be 2 weeks from now, on Friday, September 24. You may reserve entries, but you must post which characters you are going to make the deck for.

Home: Boston, Massachusetts, USA

Duel Ranking (out of 100): 62

Bio: Not being much of a talker, Kain has an asocial bend, and prefers to be left alone to study. He approaches dueling the same way he does life, by keeping one step ahead of any forseeable obstacles. He prefers not to reveal his past to others, for some odd reason or another.

Name: Madison "Maddie" Flynt

Home: New York City, New York, USA

Duel Ranking (out of 100): 48

Bio: Maddie is an aspiring designer, but was raised in her duel-centric family. She is a typical fashionista, taking upwards of an hour on any given day to get herself prepped. She can be bossy and headstrong, and can get back at people who cross her by slapping them upside the head. However, she does have a soft spot, and can be won over by kind people. (And those who compliment her style.)

I seem to one of very few people who make Star Trek cards. I'll enter them for Kain's deck.

 

Name of Archetype: Machine

 

Their Origin: Based upon Star Trek by Gene Roddenberry

 

The Effect Theme: Usually, counters are placed on cards simulating "shielding" or "Polarized hull plating". If a card with a counter would be destroyed in battle, 1 counter is removed, instead - the shields/hull plating took a hit and are now weaker.

 

Monster Appearance: Starships typically have a round main body with a smaller back extension. 2 engines, called nacelles, stick out from the extension. They tend to have more DEF than ATK.

Sorry. When you said created archetype I thought you wanted one we made. I updated my post and they are now Machine-Type. Is that OK?

 

That's fine now. Alpha, you need to change your cards for the same reasons.

Their Origin: My friend was talking about a group of female paladins (D&D) characters that walked around killing evil things, I just built on that idea, and ta-da. (note: Mira is a Spellcaster becuse of the way she attacks: a blast of Light from her sword)

The Effect Theme: Destroying dark monsters, and in the case of Ziria, nobbeling other decks aswell

Monster Appearance: All women who wear white, other then that thers nothing realy difficult that needs to be mentioned, aprt from the dragon.

Their Origin: Saw a messed up puppet show....

The Effect Theme: Providing each other with various abilities E.G. imunity to trap cards, or direct attacks ect...

Monster Appearance: Various types of puppets, generaly looking evil.

Their Origin: Revisited my "Fallen Angel" set that I can't the origin of, I think it was a contest.

The Effect Theme: Removing Fairy Monsters from play to acomplish various things

Monster Appearance: All female fallen angels.

Here are the first 3 cards for the deck. i will make more. They are called "Evolutionary Chain" monsters. Effects depend on the card you have in your Spell/Trap Card Zone.

Effect:

When you Normal Summon this card, you can select 1 "Evolutionary Chain" monster from your Graveyard, and place it in your Spell/Trap Card Zone. While an "Evolutionary Chain" card is in your Spell/Trap Card Zone, this card gains the following effects depending on its number:

1:This card can attack twice during the Battle Phase.

3:This card is uneffeted by Spell cards.

i have the perfect cards for Kain:

Name of Archetype:Glacial monsters.

Effect Theme:Effects applied only when they are treated as ICE monsters,which Glacial Plains does.

Monster Appearance:Anything to do with Ice,or Cold,Or Snow.

Sorry. When you said created archetype I thought you wanted one we made. I updated my post and they are now Machine-Type. Is that OK?

 

That's fine now. Alpha, you need to change your cards for the same reasons.

any way i'm a little busy so i can't change the type

The stupidity of that statement astounds me... Anyways, you need to use types that can be legally played.
