Anyway, according to the texts, Man was made similar to God, and the Woman was made from the Man. Regardless, I wouldn't read too much into that - how do you expect the people from 2000 years ago to accurately grasp the concept of a shapeless deity and embrace it? There has always been a need to rationalize the unknown as much as possible, and I for one believe that depicting God as being similar to Man is merely one such attempt.
