[spoiler=Information]Yu-Gi-Oh! The New Era

Information

Hello.

I am Faint Brushfire, and this is my first Yu-Gi-Oh Fan-Fic.

No worries, I do know a lot about Yu-Gi-Oh, and this is just information that you'll need to know if you're going to read this.

This is going to be written like the original Anime; so don't expect realism to some extent.

There will be many fake cards in this fic, to view these cards, please visit the link in my Profile (Currently unfinished)

There won't be any of the existing characters in this fic, however, some may make appearances.

This fic is set in 2008 (present day) so expect some events that you'd expect if you went outside right now!

I may change the effects of some cards. If this happens you will be told by the person who uses the said card.

The Prologue is from a mixed POV (Point Of View). It is from both Daniel's POV (start, middle) and the Sales Clerk's POV (end).

This page will be added as time progresses.

The Prologue of this fic will be posted shortly.

Thanks,

-Faint Brushfire.

[spoiler=Prologue]Prologue

Daniel Morris is just your average dueller. He's nothing special, and neither is he the worst. He values his cards over winning, and he proves this every time he duels. Daniel is currently duelling against his friend, Scott.

“Now, Gladiator Beast Dimacari attack him twice!”

“Aww, you win again...”

“No worries Scott, we all loose sometimes.”

Scott smiled.

“Yeah! That's right! Rematch?” Asked Scott.

“No, not right not. Sorry. I have something I need to do,” replied Dan, looking apologetic.

Scott hung his head.

“Oh, okay... maybe some other time?”

“Definitely. See ya soon!”

And with that, Dan grabbed his Deck and bolted for the front door. As Dan walked through the dark tattered streets he began to think. Was he good enough? Was his Deck to it's full extent? His light blue eyes shun in the moonlight as he lifted his head, revealing his wood-like dark-brown hair out of the darkness. Daniel had a rather large nose, a rather slim body (for the amount he ate, anyway) and he was rather lanky. He was slightly nervous as he made his way towards the GAME Shop; a lot of card thieves had been rumoured to be around lately. Even though he was in his own area where he was supposed to be safe, he still felt that he had to be on his guard in case he was jumped and robbed.

After about half an hour of walking through the murky dark streets lit only by the dim fading street lights he reached the GAME Shop. The GAME Shop was a Yu-Gi-Oh Card Store. It originated in Domino City, but now it was known worldwide and they had many stores everywhere. Next to the GAME Store was a McDonalds, but that was currently closed. He slowly walked into the GAME Store, dragging his feet across the marble floor.

“Hello, can I help you?” Asked the clerk. The clerk had short black hair, and he was wearing a suit (obviously uniform, thought Daniel) with a name tag on it.

“Uh, yes, you can. You see, I've been after a certain card, and I've still had no luck finding it in Booster Packs at Argos or anywhere else online. I was told that this place sold cards separately as an optional option. Is this true?”

The sales clerk looked slightly taken aback, “Well, yes, we do,” he stammered.

“Well, do you have... Gladiator Beast Heraklinos!?”

The man began shuffling behind the desk, as if he were looking through labelled boxes.

“Why yes, it's here.”

Daniel jumped in the air yelling “YES!”.

“So, erm, do you wish to buy it?” Enquired the clerk.

Dan's eyes glimmered.

“Of course I do! How much?!”

“£2.84.”

Daniel immediately took a five pound note out of his pocket and paid for his prized card.

“Keep the change,” insisted Daniel, and he ran out of the door and back out onto the dark streets.

“Hmm... he seems... he seems like he has potential. Perhaps I should ring my boss and get a duel set up for him. If this guy is collected Gladiator Beasts then it is likely he now has them all... and with only 3 of each Gladiator Beast existing in the world it's unlikely that he could be beaten...”

The sales clerk went over to the phone and dialled a number.

“Yes? Hello? Yes. Yes boss. Yes, you see- okay, right. Well, you see there is this duellist who just bought from my store. I think he might be able to compete in the upcoming tournament. Yes, okay. Okay, I'll send the message. Right. Bye sir, see you soon.”

End of Prologue.

Any help/information is greatly appreciated. Anyone who flames will recieve a negative reputation point. The Prologue is subject to change, and remember that it is only a Prologue and not a chapter.

These were supposed to be sent by PM...

And; denied.

Reason: Make your appearance and Personality a lot more descriptive, and you must have Deck List (hence why it is to be sent by PM).
