The Truth Behind MissingNo...

Dark

Recommended Posts

When the Programars created MissingNo' date=' they made it so that once you beat the Elite Four... well, you know. Once they found out that Missing was too powerful, they CHANGED THE NAME, DELETED MISSING, AND DELETED THE EVENT. And try Google, it is really powerful.

-_-''

PS- If you think that my research was wrong, you try finding the info. I will bet you can't.

Trsrockin.com

^It has the hex info that should make you shut the hell up.

=).

It's fallacy to assume that MissingNo. was once meant to be an event pokemon.

MissingNo.= Missing number= unfilled pokemon data.

Freaking hell.

If you're getting this from google, it's apparent that you've got a seemingly acute talent for picking sites run by 10-year olds.

This backs up my earlier statement about ROM Hacking.

The data is unfilled and is therefore available to overwrite at will.

Mehh... everyone is saying it is not a legendary. And now people are saying it was a programming error. WHY DID THEY PUT IT IN AGAIN? ERRORS? WHAT WAS IT SUPPOSED TO BE. And I reveiwed over the Ho-Oh thing. They wanted to put Ho-Oh in the same region as Lugia. So that idea is *BOOM* shot down.

Where is your source that Lugia and Ho-Oh were created nearly the same time? I've yet to see disproof of MissingNo being a bugged Ho-Oh. From where I'm standing, it seems as though Missing was a bug when Ho-Oh was created and since they put him in the show already, they created Lugia so they wouldn't have to scrap the idea of Ho-Oh. *BOOM* Idea takes off.

Last time I want to say this. Last time. Before you go shooting off your mouth about this "Cool MissingNo. website" please remember that your website could also be made by a 10-year old. Your website could be wrong or be a joke. Your website could be worse than you THINK my info is.

^_^ then say me where did you got the "plot" info?

The info is meaningless.

It's just an empty spot in the game's configuration.

As a ROM Hacker, I would know.

Ah-ha so you admit! Anyways, how do you know what is the truth, heh? You could say that Arceus is a glitch. People in AMERICA might believe that or not. No one knows until you know. No one knows what MissingNo is. This is summarizing (the thread) about what people think it is.

Lawl.

Fool people are fools.

Look at game data. Missingno. is literally MISSING NUMBER. Geez.

This is worse than when people were saying Apollo 11 was faked.

For most variables on Game Boy games' date=' the [b']fewest[/b] possibilities for the variable is 256 (HEX 100), labeled 0 to 255 (HEX 00 to FF). This goes for most variables in RBY, including ones for all the Pokemon lookup slots. However, only 151 Pokemon exist in RBY. So, if there are 256 possibilities, and only 151 slots were defined by the programmers, what do the other 105 slots have? Glitches. And so, Missingno. was created.

There are two things that' date=' when combined, made it possible for this trick to exist. Here they are:

1. When creating the map for what Pokemon appear where, they made a crucial flaw. The 1-square-wide strip of water on the right side of Cinnabar and Seafoam Islands was programmed to be a place where wild Pokemon CAN appear. But (and thank GAMEFREAK for this one) they forgot to define what Pokemon can appear there.

I admit what?

I know what's the truth because I'm a ROM Hacker and I've checked -_-

Arceus is an official Pokemon that can be obtained without hacks or cheats.

MissingNo is "Missing Number" which they left missing for uses unknown. One could presume that they are in the for configuration data, considering if you remove certain MissingNo's on the FireRed or Ruby ROM, and try to use that Pokemon as the Player, it glitches.

Thank you. That proves point #1.

Point #2 is that everyone who claims otherwise in the face of such overwhelming evidence is obviously an insecure conspiracy theorist.

Also: If anyone thinks that glitches would be far more random than just Missingno., Glitch City Labs says hi.

Flying was originally Bird at the very start of the game. They couldn't delete it, so they put it in an empty hex that later became Missigno. when said hex was exploited. This has valid evidence: the same case goes for the Kabutops/Aerodactyl Fossil versions.

Missingno.'s stats are Deoxys Attack on drugs. One poke with Quick Attack and BOOMURDEAD. Missingno., anyway.

MissingNo- The Fault

As I have said before' date=' the glitch to MissingNo started at Cinnabar. But what is with the 100+ leveled Pokemon? It turns out that the glitch triggers some fault in the game which makes the Pokemon range from levels 101 to upwards 200. I still have a level 176 Cloyster. This fault in the game could be a defense mechanism or just a fault. Much is still not known about MissingNo. Also, when MissingNo is captured or encounted, the 6th or 7th (not confirmed) item in each pouch of your backpack will become 99. This is great use towards Master Balls and Rare Candys.

[/quote']

Q: How do I determine the levels?

A: First off' date=' look at letters 2, 4, and 6 of your name. Those letters will determine the levels of the Pokemon you can run into. First, take the NUMERICAL equivalent (A=1, B=2, etc.) of those letters, and add 127 for uppercase or 159 for lowercase. In addition, the symbols are as follows:

( 154

) 155

: 156

; 157

[ 158

'] 159

PK 209

MN 210

? 239

P(monetary symbol) 240

x(times sign) 241

. 242

? 245

Also, at the end of your name, the game inserts an 80 (HEX 50) to designate "End of Name". Because of how the variables are used, this means that one of the levels your Missingno. (or glitched 'M name) will be is always L80.

I think that Flying used to be "Bird" Type and was changed later. Another possibility is that 'M could have got that from various descriptions of pokemon due to it's ability to steal data. E.g. Pidgey.

So you're saying that you don't want B.S from other sites, but you do search on Google for your info. *cough*Hypocrite*cough* Everything on Trsrockin.com is true. It has been tested multiple times. I have been going to that site for a long time. I have tested the info there countless times. So get it into your head. MissingNo =/= Legendary, MissingNo = Glitch in HEX coding. I know alot about pokemon because I've been trying to break the MissingNo mystery for a hell of alot of time. I've seen Glitch City, I've seen 'M, I've seen MissingNo and I've seen Ghost. Stop complaining and suck it up. Half your info is wrong and I pity you for thinking everything on Google is right.
