More info on Absol:

 

•It's one of few Pokémon that is wholly carnivorous. One subspecies's diet consists mainly of Hunteel, Clamperl, Gorebyss, Girafarig, and Spearow, as its life is solitary. However, more cooperative Absols in the second subspecies sometimes form packs can take down much larger prey, including Fearows, Wailmers, Pidgeots, and even Wailords and Gyaradoses. Interestingly, grass is toxic to it.

 

•It loves to swim, and is just as excellent a hunter below as it is on land. Because its hunting techniques are mainly land-based, they are unorthodox to underwater prey, so even powerful Hunteel fall quickly to its jaws.

 

•There are two subspecies of Absol: Campus absol singularis and Campus absol consensio. The main difference is in mentality, though singularis is slightly larger and lighter than consensio: singularis will instantly eat any member of the same gender upon meeting and mate with any members of the opposite gender almost sociopathically, while consensio is far less hasty. Also, consensio is hugely more intelligent, and organizes packs while only sending out one Absol to warn humans of disaster.

 

•consensio is the only type of Absol that attempts to warn others of disaster; singularis is probably not observed as often because it has nearly killed itself off.

 

•It's nocturnal when not visible in human society.

 

•Though its metabolism is only slightly slower than human metabolism, it 'binges' and then rests, especially in singularis. In contrast, some of the largest packs of consensio will store meat and eat as they travel.
