If you knew the first thing about what logic was, you would know that yours is flawed.

The only way to improve upon something is to continually do whatever it is you are trying to improve and push yourself farther than you are used to.

Obviously my running is not going to improve my swimming, and vice versa.

Swimming will not improve my running.

You are working completely different muscle groups between the two.

And my logic has already been proven in what you have said. You swim a lot and you suck at running.

The only answer to that that I can come up with would be, "DUH"
