Well everyone, it's time for my next big Contest.

I have decided to create the Card Contest Of The Year challenge.

Now, how this will work, is no one is invited, or allowed to

freely enter this contest. Each contestant must win one

preliminary match, which are held by me. I welcome any

challenger to each preliminary match, but not all will win.

 

Now, only those who successfully complete a Preliminary match, will at

least have a chance to consider a round in this upcoming contest. I warn everyone

that each round of the upcoming contest will be the hardest, most difficult,

challenge you have ever faced! And, only those who can successfully complete

the last round of each preliminary contest, may be accepted into the "December"

contest. With all that said, please, at the very least try at one of the preliminarys ^_^

 

.:[Contest Theme]:.

 

To make every Preliminary exciting, I want to make each contest a new theme, not yet made throughout these forums, or at least one theme that stands out as a really great contest theme. Now, when I say contest theme, I don't mean the theme of the cards your making, but rather the theme in which you make your cards.

 

This Preliminaries Theme is "Ratio"

[Ratio Matches]

All contestants create an X amount of cards.

A shuffle is started by the card contest host,

and each contestant receives a set made from another contestant.

 

In the next step, each contestant must rate

their opponents set, fairly and just.

 

Each contestant is graded on both their official Rate,

The rate from their opponent, and the rate in which they submit.

Your lucky, because I require none. But that doesn't say the same for the next preliminary.

((Rules))

 

1. Create a Card Set of 2 Cards and a Token.

 

[Card One - Monster]

A. The card must be a Monster Card.

B. The card can NOT be a Fusion, Ritual, or Normal Monster Card.

C. The card can NOT be Divine, Fire, or Earth Attributes.

D. The card can NOT be the following types:

Warrior, Spellcaster, Dragon, Sea-Serpent, Divine-Beast, Fiend, or Zombie.

E. The pictures can NOT under any circumstance contain text, or a holo effect, and can NOT be blurry.

F. It's Attack can not be higher than 2300 or below 1000.

G. It's level can only be between 3-5.

H. It's effect must contain more than 50 words, and 250 Characters.

I. No Sub-Types.

J. No New Types.

 

[Card Two - Spell Card]

A. The card must be a Spell card.

B. Do not use Equip, Continuous, or Field Type Spell Cards.

C. The Card text must contain more than 50 Words and more than 200 Characters.

D. Do not use "-" in its card name.

E. The card must relate to the Monster Card.

F. This card not involve the increase or decrease of the a monsters ATK or DEF.

G. The card can not add the monster to your hand from any location on the field.

 

[Card Three - Token]

A. The card must be be the actual color tone (Or similiar) of Token Cards.

B. The Token cannot be used for tribute.

C. It's ATK must be below 1000 and above 200.

D. This Token must relate to the original Monster.

Date of Rates: Thursday 25, September 2008

Date of Final Round: Friday 26, September 2008

End Date: Friday 3, October 2008

EDIT: Here's my submission-

Effect:

When this card would be Normal Summoned, instead Special Summon 1 "Mirror Token" (Fairy-Type/LIGHT/ Level 2/ATK 500/DEF 500) in Defense Position. "Mirror Tokens" cannot be Tributed for a Tribute Summon. This card cannot be Summoned except during your next turn after a "Mirror Token" you control was attacked but was not destroyed.

 

For clarification's sake, on the monster, the "When this card would be Normal Summoned..." happens first to summon the token, and then the "This card cannot be Summoned except..." kicks in keeping you from summoning it normally. It is such to balance out the high attack of the monster, since it has such special needs to be summoned :P
