Cyber Altair
I'm not a nerd :/ me too \= idk why everyone classifies themselves as nerds =P it's just a term created by a bunch of people who wanted to differentiate themselves from the rest of the normal people so they called everyone else "nerds" and started calling themselves "cool". MasterOfMagicians
I would not say a failure to society, definitely someone who does not conform to it, but not a failure. Society doesn't determine natural selection or evolutionary processes, that is all nature. "Nerds" often develop the best technologies to advance society, so no, I would say they are not failures. Kizzi
You know what a nerd really is? Someone who dedicated time for learning' date=' and time for talking. Someone who believes that they can be something, and they need to start now to live a better life. Someone who works their butt off to get good grades and live a happy and goal-achieving life. Dark
Intellectual? Someone who is smart? I could have a 1.0 GPA and fail my SAT's and be a nerd. And someone who has a 4.0 GPA and get a 2400 might not be a nerd.

Thank you! ^.^ *continues speech* But seriously, I would rather be a a funny-looking nerd than be an idiot. Like I said before, what really matters is how happy you live your life. Sure, you can be "popular" in school, but what really matters is not that. It is how well you can live life. And failing your SAT's aint gonna cut it. Sure, you can go to Community College and get a job as a janitor. Now who wants that? Would you rather work your butt off, ace your SAT's, and become a world renowned genius? Sure! Which is why, nerds should be the popular ones, cuz they will be making a million bucks a year while our poor little hobo is living in a box. Thank you. *PS* I am a nerd at school, but I do stress that nerds should wear better clothes... like me. I wear normal clothes, but half of my friends... yeahh... dont wanna talk about it. You sir, just got it completely wrong. We may certainly be better off smarter rather than mindless idiots who make fun of guys with less testosterone or ambition, but it is certainly not to make money. Given our superior intellect, should we not put it towards something less selfish than profit, less mindless than caring about what we are paid for what we do? Shouldn't we put it towards something that will make a difference in our lives, in our minds, like philosophizing about contentment and equality? As human beings equal in consciousness, regardless of conscious capability, should those with more capable conscious use it to grasp a better understanding of the world, and then assess our actions rather than grab the fast buck? Selfish Capitalist.No. Lives are a neutrality of value. Meaning that nobody is worth more than anyone else. So why should I devote any effort into making someone else' life any better? The way I look at it is: I would gladly take a bullet for anyone, but in exchange I'm not going to prevent you from dying. Isn't it a little selfish of other to expect us to pay out to the community? funk sharing. And I don't think I'm a nerd... :( Assuming a nerd would be someone who slaves over studying or doing work.
Theres a reason why young people like rap music. Becuase, it repeats the same line over and over again, which makes it easier for them to understand. This shouldnt be a rap style -.-" They have a better chance of getting their point across by singing country.
I'm glad you used that word. I love country music. Now onto today's feature presentation... "Nerd" is used to describe anyone that is associated with intellect and/or technology. That is MY official definition of the word. To everyone, the world is divided into three social classes: popular people who beat down everyone else for their own gain, nerds who do not rise up to everyone else's level of social status, and regulars who do not become popular but are at everyone else's social status. ... We need to live the meaning of life, which is ... So I conclude that nerds are nothing more than a person with different hobbies and ideas. That is how everyone is. The world is really only two groups: tame and wild. I will go on to talk about why there are these two groups. As I always write: I bid you adeu. That was a shortened version of a little piece of work that I hope to start and get out. Half expect it to be coming to the forums sometime as a Work In Progress. Sbamber
Well it depends on the type of nerd. Full blown nerdy nerd = Made fun off by people like meNerd who blends in with other people, not really recognized = LoanerNerd, who knows cool people = Liked by someNon-Nerd = Sbamber But, People should not be judged by what they wear, their hair, poor, rich, or anything. People are hurtful sometimes in their words and actions, but those are the bullies. The People who pick on people who stoop down to a low level, just to make themselves feel better. People should live their lives worry free.

Oh, and you took what I was saying the wrong way, no one would share if given the chance, I like the idea of "Forced Requisition" a lot more. Anyone who is against this is just preventing a better world from coming into existence, and/or already better off than the masses, and should be eradicated via killer virus or be forced to except that their life is equal with that of another, because It is not our actions that define what we are worth, it is our consciousness. Frankly, you're all worth nothing to me, so I guess its not all that important, I just like things, especially human beings, to work in an orderly fashion.
