Punishment on invalid reps

Hello YCM'ers.

 

I was wondering what the punishment is when somebody deals a neg rep invalidly. I, for example, am getting revenge repped by FighteR__ and when the reps get removed, he just neg reps me again the next day. Whatever punishment he got for neg repping me (if he even got a punishment), I think it's not enough, because he just neg repped me again for the very same reason.

 

This isn't just because of FighteR__, but also just in general, I've got the feeling that people who rep invalidly don't get enough of a punishment. Isn't there a way to make them unable to deal reps or something?

I think they should be changed to "Reputation Spammers" Rather than "Members". That's a good point my friend.

There are 'rep spammers' groups, but hardly anyone is in it O.O

maybe the mods can deal with him...

I don't think a 20% warning will really change anything.

 

I mean, there's always those little kids who just continue until they can't, and they'll ignore a warning, no matter how many percent. They'll end up getting a perm ban, and much too late.

 

I think it'd be better if dealing reps will be disabled for them directly for a short time, plus a warning. Then, if they continue to do that, they get disabled/banned for a slightly longer time, and another warning. This, until the warning level hits 100%. Then, they get perm banned.

The problem is not really that he negs me. I don't care about my reputation count, as long as that number is green. I just want him and people who do the same thing get punished properly. Actually, it kinda made me laugh that he thinks he can neg rep me 3 times a day unpunished.

I did, but once again, this thread is to solve the problem, not to get the negs removed again. I could return to that thread every day in that case.

I suspect FighteR_ has double-accounted. Look at his Rep report, then look at Predator_1. Both have the same local time, and joined 7 days apart. Both give thier reps in threes, and both type similar. They don't act like friends, either.

I contacted a mod about that. I also suspect that, lol.

 

Also, are you guys sure that this Rep Spammers group still exists? There's no way to check the groups right now, so how do you know?

i got one from a guy too, just look at my rep details for evidence

The Rep Spammer group still exists and when we see that someone keeps repping people for no reason, we ask to get this person labeled as such. ^And warnings are still distributed, too.

I'm going to lock this now, any further questions can be asked to the mods.
