Blood Cards (new card type) (Updated again)

Just a concept inspired by the rebirth spells and synchro monsters.

Blood cards, have a red border (working on editing them to look like that)

They are in the extra deck (which im aware can only have 15 cards now)

They can be monsters, traps or spells. You can play Blood monsters or spells whenever for the most part, but you have to pay life points to play them, and also summoning blood monsters counts as a normal summon, and high level blood monsters require tributes. They cant be destroyed by magic, trap or monster effects (except their own) and they are destroyed during your end phase. Generally blood monsters will cost 500 life points, while blood magics and traps will cost 1000, although this may be more or less for certain cards. Also when they are destroyed they are sent to the Blood Graveyard (i know im ripping off the rebirth zone thing, and ill update this post later to give you a link to that thread). This is so they cant be returned to the game though cards like monster reborn, although i plan on making cards that will let you get them back from the blood graveyard. (quick not thought through dont rate this card example: Blood rebirth (spell, not a blood one) pay 500 life points. select one monster in your Blood graveyard and special summon it.)

Blood traps, can be activated while in the extra deck, as if they were face down on the field. (another not thought through example: This card can be activated when your opponant declares an attack on a monster on your side of the field, Pay 1000 life points, return the targeted monster to your hand and Special Summon a monster from your hand of equal or lower level in face up attack or defense postion, and redirect the attack to that monster.) the same applies to quick play blood spells.

I plan on making support cards for these as well (i.e. something to lower the life points you have to pay to play cards, or substain them on the field for an extra turn or something)

 

anyways, sadly, i only have made a few so far, but i will make more when i dont have a 1800 to 2300 word science paper to find 12 more sources for, take 50 more notes on, write a biblography, a table of contents for and well... write the paper, all in the next week, (anti-yay procastistion)

 

well these are the card i have so far and a couple support cards... rate them, as well as rate the overall concept.

This card can be Normal Summoned from the Extra Deck as if it were in your hand. Pay 500 Life Points when this card is Normal Summoned. This card can not be destroyed by Spells, Traps or Monster Effects except its own. This card is sent to the Blood Graveyard during your End Phase. The turn this card is summoned you can perform your Battle Phase twice.

This card can be activated while in your Extra Deck as if it were Face Down on the Field. This card can only be activated if you have atleast 3 Monsters in your Blood Graveyard. Pay 1000 Life Points when you activate this card. When your Opponant attacks a monster on your Side of the Field, send one Monster in your Blood Graveyard Out of Play. Switch the targeted Monster to Defense Postion and Reduce the attacking Monsters ATK by half until the end of the Turn.

 

I know the OCG on this one is terriable, any help with it would be great

Whenever a monster is destroyed as a result of Battle you can add 1 Spell Counter to this card (max. 3). During your End Phase you can pay 800 Life Points to remove 3 Spell Counters from this card and select one Blood Monster on your side of the field. This Monster is not destroyed this turn by its own effect.

If this card attacks your opponent's Life Points directly, inflict 100 points of Direct Damage to your opponent's Life Points during each of his/her next 3 Standby Phases. This effect can only be used once as long as this card remains on the Field. If all damage caused by this effect is successful, you can add 1 Spell Counter to a "Mystical Blood Pot" on your side of the field.

 

If you make your own Blood Cards ask me credit for the permision, also i would love help editing them to make the border red,

Just my thoughts on the nature of how they will work, if they were rock, burn decks would be like paper, and Fire Princess decks (and i have a friend that used to run one) would tear this apart, also i think you wouldnt want to have both team members run blood decks in double duels, if it weren't for Life Absorbing Machine, but i think I'll fix Blood Cards so that they won't work with it somehow (any tips on that would be nice), but in double duels, blood card based decks would probally pair well with fire princess decks, since all the healing would keep you alive.

oh and, Blood Cards, will be lvl 4 and lower more often than other extra deck cards.
