Guest
Since 1on1 contests have been getting pretty popular around here, and some have been good, while others have not worked out so well, I just thought I'd update the Contest Rules to reflect this new wave of contest type. Now, before anyone complains, I decided on 3 reps because 13 was far too many, and 6 (the normal contest amount) seemed too many as well for only winning over 1 person. Plus, 3 reps is more in keeping with the spirit of 1on1 contests, as they should more be for fun and to see if you actually can beat the other person :P New Rule:Rule 18 - When hosting 1-on-1 contests, all normal contest rules apply. The contest cannot be extended past the initial 2 contestants or it will be considered a normal contest. Reputation given out cannot exceed 3 +reps and only the losing contestant can give those reps to the winner. No one else may give reps out for a 1on1 contest. Updated Rules:Rule 3 - You MUST state PRIZES for your contest. Reps - You can give out a Maximum of 6 reps in Total within your normal contest as prizes, anymore then 6 reps within your normal contest and your contest will be closed. The recommended way to give them out is; 1st - 3 Reps2nd - 2 Reps3rd - 1 Rep Subsection 1 - 1on1 contests can give out a maximum of 3 reps in total. See Rule 18 for more details. Rule 9 - Just to clarify, NO NORMAL CONTEST CAN GIVE OUT MORE THAN 6 REPS TOTAL. Subsection 1 - 1on1 contests can only give out a maximum of 3 reps. Please take note of these new and updated rules and follow them accordingly.

Huntar!
this should be good, now you dont have any excessive prizes for winning 1 vote over another. Lol. I thought you were actually making a lot of rules.
Guest KAJN
This question is bothering me, What if 2 or even 3 people are hosting this contest? Can they give more than 6 reputations? Or can they only give 6 or lower reputations? Thank you in advanced.

Huntar!
Would a "1on1 Contest Planning Thread" be a good idea? That is what the Contest Zone has now almost become. People plan it there, and make a 1on1 contest. What do you think of the idea Brow?

monkeyman2092
I have a person who wants to help me with my contest by giving out REPS to the winners, because I can't due to my low level, so is it within the rules?
Guest
Cool!! But how do you sign up for the contest?Well' date=' you plan with the member either through PMs or if you both have IM and then you post the thread when you've agreed on what you're making. I have a person who wants to help me with my contest by giving out REPS to the winners, because I can't due to my low level, so is it within the rules? No, nobody is allowed to give reps for 1on1 contests except the loser to the winner. However, if you make one more post you'll be able to give reps :P
