JesusofChaos™
If machine duplication was banned would it allow card trooper to be unlimited? Discuss

「tea.leaf」
One case where Konami failed to follow its own logic.

Tickle Me Emo
Id say yea they should ban it and unlimit Card Trooper. The card just has to many good targets, like Trooper if he was at 3, Valley, and lets not forget everyones favorite Vanilla, Bat!
CrabHelmet
In the past, I've supported 1 Card Trooper + 3 Machine Duplication, primarily because it's a toss-up between the two and four cards > three cards, but now I'm favouring getting rid of Machine Duplication and putting Card Trooper at 3. One reason for this is guilt: Machine Duplication's easy Special Summons are the real culprit here (as opposed to Card Trooper's effects, which are perfectly balanced). Also, Machine Duplication greatly limits what low-ATK Machine-Type Monsters can be made, and causes all new ones to be instantly regarded with suspicion. Plus, it's one of those cards where, if you're using it, you're probably abusing it.
Tabris
To OP: Yup, even with Limiter still Limited.
