They can read.

They just don't pay attention.

 

Reading entails comprehending and assessing printed words' date=' phrases and ideas.

 

Hardly anyone is capable of that anymore, I think.

 

Wrong. Studies show that kids nowadays are better at math than their parents' generation.

 

That gave me a good chuckle.

 

I believe this is because people are so into themselves that they are unwilling to comprehend things fully. As you so describe...

Which imo, is why I also believe that having a friend with near Parallel but opposite ideals of you to discuss the splits between to get a full spectrum of sight. Or at least the most you can strive for....

 

as for crabs. Yeah thats true XD, kinda ironic considering we are supposed to "look up to them"...

So true. Even on YCM this is true. I make it a point to use proper grammar, and still people do not understand. I think that when people type in n00b talk, they can only read in n00b talk.

Literacy is a whole other issue altogether.
