A black t-shirt, a slighty-past-waist length black cotton jacket, and some extremely dark blue pants. Carries a standard Battle City edition Duel Disk with odd colors. Think of a Battle City Duel Disk with all the white being green, the blue being purple, and the red being pink.

Occupation: As of Chapter 2, Ritual Blue Student at West Academia

Deck Name: Destiny Combine-D

Usual Strategy: Fusion/Synchro.

First Appearance: Chapter 1

 

Bushidou Jou, Age 24

Sex: Male

Appearance: Tan, muscular, and shirtless. Wears baggy camo pants and no shoes. Wears a headband that pushes up his blue hair.

Occupation: Professional Duelist / Applicant Tester for West Academia of Genex.

Deck Name: Samurai Slicer

Usual Strategy: Field Presence / Burn / Foddering

First Appearance: Chapter 1

 

Stephen Chapman, Age 34

Sex: Male

Appearance: Bald. Often wears a red dress suit with a purple tie and black dress shoes.

Occupation: Head of West Academia

Deck Name: Western Warriors

First Appearance: Chapter 2

 

Zachary Toyota, Age 16

Sex: Male

Appearance: Dons a blinding white coat with a pair of white shoes. Has a grey buzzcut.

Occupation: Synchro White Student at West Academia

Deck Name: Change Brain

Yugioh! Dawn of a New Destiny: Chapter 1 - VS Bushidou Jou! Go, Doom-D Doubleguy!

 

 

“Applicant X77, take your stand at the Dueling Arena,” a crackly voice called from the loud 4-megaphone pole in the center of the colliseum-esque stadium. A large creaking sound made the audience cringe, then metal doors slid open with a smooth motion at the North Entrance of the Dueling Arena, and a 4”5’ boy stepped lightly out of the opening. Boos and cries were defintitely within hearing range as the boy in a black t-shirt, black zipper jacket (unzipped), and long, dark, dark blue pants walked nonchalantly into the light. A standard Battle City Duel Disk with a custom lime green finish was strapped to his cloaked left arm.

 

‘A few more steps now,’ the boy thought warily. ‘And I face a life or death situation. Oh, joyous freaking day!’ With a flick of a finger, a compartment at his right side was opened, and a Duel Monsters deck was gripped by black leather encased hands. The boy shot the deck out of the compartment and straight into the lime green Duel Disk Deck Slot with great accuracy. “Hmph, ready when you are, Jou.” he muttered to himself.

 

“Now, give it up for your favorite Samurai, BUSHIDOU JOU!!” the voice from the 4-way megaphone exclaimed. There was no creaking sound present in the opposing motions of the two metal doors at the South Entrance of the Stadium. A muscular man appearing to be void of a shirt ran out of the opening, hollering as he did so. He was clothed in ragged camouflage jeans, he seemed to be deprived of shoes, and a red headband that pushed his blue hair up even further, so that it just dipped over the band slightly. The crowd was going pretty freaking nuts. Men were howling, hollering, whooing, and many other sound effects that I will not diverse in to. Women wears sreaming, often yelling, “Bear my children!”, “Marry me!”, or “I’d trade my husband for you!”.

 

“Well, damn me to hell. If it ain’t Aiden Phoenix, heir to the Destiny Hero deck and champion of 5 different states! Gimme a hug!” Jou teased. “But enough of my playing. Let’s get this show on the road!”

 

Aiden Phoenix: 4000 LP ~ Bushidou Jou: 4000 LP

 

The enemies shuffled the opposing player’s deck, and cut it in the end. The happy-go-lucky Jou placed his deck lightly into his Duel Disk, while the infuriated Aiden shoved his deck angrily into the Deck Slot of his custom Duel Disk.

“It’s my turn!” Jou exclaimed happily. Six cards were drawn, and he scanned them carefully. He then gave off an escalated look, and gave a smirk. “First off, I summon The Six Samurai – Zanji [1800/1300] in attack position. He’s useless by himself, but wait ‘til you see what’s next.” A warrior in beautiful maroon armor with a gold trim appeared, holding a katana in a stance that said “I’m ready to kill.” Jou then selected a blue-green colored card and slid it into the lower area of the Duel Disk. “The card I played is the normal spell card, Double Summon. I’m allowed an extra normal summon this turn!” Jou winked at Aiden, and slapped another card from his hand into the Monster Card Zone of the device. “I now summon The Six Samurai – Yariza [1000/500],” he spoke. “And with another Six Samurai monster on the field, things will get interesting. When one of Yariza’s comrades is on the field, he can attack you directly! When one of Zanji’s comrades is on the field, any monster he attacks is destroyed at the end of the Damage Step.” Jou slid one more facedown card into the Spell & Trap Card Zone of his Duel Disk, and his turn ended.

 

“My turn. Draw!” Aiden cried angrily. The sixth addition to his hand seemed to calm him. “I activate the normal spell card, Combine-D Destiny! With this, I can fuse Destiny Hero – Double Guy and Destiny Hero – Doomguy to Special Summon Destiny Hero – Doom-D Doubleguy [1600/300] from my extra deck!” A rock creature with a hazy, rock-like beast behind it materialized to the field. “Now, Doom-D Doubleguy, attack The Six Samurai – Yariza!” The Destiny Hero ran up to attack it, butit’s path curved, crushing The Six Samurai – Zanji instead. “Er, what just happened?” asked a puzzled Aiden, with a blank look on his face.

“You see,” Jou said, chuckling lightly. “With Six Samurais, I can choose to destroy a different Samurai instead of one you try to attack.”

“Smart move,” Aiden said sarcasitcally, smirking. “Because if you’d read up on the latest Duel Monsters, you’d know that Doom-D Doubleguy gets to attack again! Go, my Destiny Hero, destroy Yariza and deal some damage to that punk!” This time, the once hazy rock-like beast was in clear view, and it struck the Samurai, dealing some damage to Jou in the process.

“Not bad, not bad,” Jou replied, getting a little more serious.

“But, before you end your turn,” Jou said with a smirk. “I activate Swiftstrike Armor!” The violet-red hologram raised itself, depicting a currently unworn set of armor.

Aiden slid one facedown card into the lower portion of the Duel Disk. “Fine, turn end.”

Then, muscular man then began drawing a card from his Duel Disk. “Yosh!” he cried. “Special summon, The Six Samurai – Yariza! [1000/500]”

“Wait, what?” Aiden implored.

“You see, with Swiftstrike Armor, if I draw a Six Samurai monster during my Draw Phase, I can Special Summon it to the field.” Jou replied cockliy. “Now, as I was saying, the monster I’m gonna summon is The Six Samurai – Nisashi [1400/700]!” An olive-armored warrior with two green, laser-like katanas fazed into view. “You already know Yariza’s effect, but when one of Nisashi’s comrades is on the field, he can attack twice! So first, Yariza, attack!” The black-armored warrior sped up to Aiden, jabbing a holographic spear into his stomach. The warrior jumped backwards, landing right back in his correct spot on the field.

 

Aiden Phoenix: 3000LP ~ Bushidou Jou: 3400LP

 

Aiden limped slightly, clutching the center of his torso with his right hand. ‘I knew it,’ Aiden thought dryly. ‘They activated the Full Solid setting. If I lose this, I could be hospitalized, o-or worse!’

“Now, for your demise!” Jou roared, as the crowd followed. “I equip Legendary Ebon Steed to Nisashi [1400-1600/700-900] and attack your Doom-D!” Nisashi suddenly appeared riding a horse, and plowed through to strike Doom-D with his Lightsaber-esque katana. Although their attack points were even, only Doom-D and the steed were destroyed. “You see, when a monster equipped with the steed would be destroyed, the steed is destroyed instead.” (Nisashi [1600-1400/900-700]) Jou still kept his asinine smirk on as he declared, “Now, Nisashi, attack!”

Aiden bore an evil smile. “Alas, it appears you really haven’t studied on your latest monsters. When Doom-D is destroyed, I get to Special Summon 1 Double Doom Token [1000/900] and 1 Destiny Hero fusion monster from my extra deck, with Destiny Hero – Defenderguy as a fusion material monster!” A two-headed, rock-like warrior appeared, carrying a sword. “Now, I call forth from my arsenal of Heroes! Go, Destiny Hero – Devildefenderguy [800/2000]!” A pitch-black, 2-story tall soldier of stone arose from the ground. An ominous, dark-purple aura surrounded its body. “He’s in defense position. Now, I remove from play your Yariza!” The dark-purple aura of the soldier shot up, and started collecting itnto the shape of a sphere. The sphere rocketed towards Yariza and enveloped him. The aura then moved outside of the field, still encasing Yariza. “But, your attack still continues. On Devildefenderguy.” The warrior sped up with intentions of slicing the rocky beast, sliced, but his sword ricocheted outwards, causing him to fly back into his controller, causing some damage.

 

Aiden Phoenix: 3000LP ~ Bushidou Jou: 2800LP

 

“Nngh,” Jou grumbled. “Turn end.”

Aiden smiled in absolute joy, He drew his card, and felt his joy to be worthy. First, I activate the Spell Card, Monster Reincarnation!” Aiden sent D-Shield to the Graveyard, and in return, Destiny Hero – Doomguy was returned to his hand. “Now, I summon Marauding Captain [1200/400]!” A warrior wearing a full set of knight’s armor appeared to the field, ready to fight. “Plus, because of my Captain’s effect, I can summon a Level 4 or lower monster from my hand. I choose Destiny Hero – Doomguy!” Doomguy appeared to the field, one arm outstretched, as if he were pointing a gun at someone. Now, I tribute my Token, my Captain, and my Doomguy to special summon Destiny Hero – Dogmaguy, from my hand!”

The crowd ooohed and aaaahed as the dark warrior materialized to the field.

“Now’s your time to shine Dogmaguy! Destroy Nisashi!” Aiden cried, as happy as can be. Dogmaguy ran up and struck the samurai, causing him to crack into shards, which shot onto Jou.

 

Aiden Phoenix: 3000LP ~ Bushidou Jou: 1400LP

 

“Turn end.” Aiden spoke triumphantly.

“My turn. Draw,” Jou muttered. “No samurai this time, but I don’t care. I s-“ His speech was interrupted by a blow to the back of the head by Dogmaguy, causing great pain. “Gaaah!”

 

Aiden Phoenix: 3000LP ~ Bushidou Jou: 700LP

 

“Why!?” Jou cried in excruciating pain. “Why did that happen!?” His neck was on fire. His vision was starting to become a bit doubled, even.

“When Dogmaguy is Special Summoned,” Aiden scoffed with an evil smirk. “Your life points are cut in half.” The expression on Aiden’s face grew even darker.

“I-I surrender,” Joe groaned painfully, weakly placing his palm on the brim of his deck. “I-I-I d-don’t want to die….” With that, Jou collapsed to the hard, concrete ground, completely unconcious.

The audience gasped, and paramedics rushed to the scene. Orders like, “Get a stretcher!” and “Help me out here!” were barked as the crew ran around in complete confusion. Order was soon established, and Bushidou Jou was carried off, on a stretcher.

‘Damn him,’ Aiden thought, infuriated. ‘I should’ve killed him! Right then! I just should’ve ran up and choked him to death or….’ His thoughts were blocked out by a superior figure shaking his hand.

It was Samejima, of Duel Academia. “Omedetou, sugoi shonen! Ore wa Samejima desu! Pureased to meet-a you!” (Translation: Congratulations, amazing boy! I’m Samejima! Pleased to meet you!)

‘Woah, Samejima came all this way from Duel Academia, to see me?’ Aiden thought, shocked.

The head of West Academia, Stephen Chapman, stepped up to the two in the center of the colliseum. “I’d like to welcome you to West Acdemia, entered as a Ritual Blue.”

 

West Academia? As a Ritual Blue? I’m loving this already~ But wait! Who’s that weird guy in the white uniform? Next time, on Yugioh! Dawn of a New Destiny: Chapter 3 – Phase Changers!? The Synchro White Student, Zachary Toyota!
