couldnt you just use polymerization to fuse them from your hand?

 

So your idea is to hemorrhage from your hand in order to summon a card that requires a decent hand to be playable?

 

Eh, BLS and DM aren't at all splashable and no decent duelist would ever put them in the same deck. It wouldn't see anymore play then Dark Paladin does.

Do that, make Set ID MONK-EN234, cut out the circulation as you'd need a gold sticker, and crop out the logo in the picture.

 

Fix the above and it's perfect! =D Really cool picture btw.

This is overpowered some. The pic is okay I guess, but the effect should be more targeted towards gaining Spell Cards (Dark Magician) and something to do with Dragons or Battle Phase type stuff (BLS). Anyway...

I love it! OCG is close to perfect, and the picture suits it PERFECTLY and it's well balanced. My overal rating, 10/10

That isn't half bad, but I do not agree the picture is all that great. It’s just too iconic to Poseidon.

 

Dark Magician already has a Fusion Monster and a lot of attention; I would rather like Dark Magician of Chaos/Magician of Black Chaos in its place.

 

And this card is overpowered (though, pretty unpractical in a Deck).

This card isn't even close to overpowered. Anyone thusfar who has said so is looking purely at the effect while ignoring the fact that it's a Fusion Monster composed of two garbage monsters.

 

Black Luster Soldier, a Ritual Monster with "cuh-razy" stats of 3000/2500 that has to be pulled out of your hand by a method that anyone who started playing after The Lost Millenium (irony) will never have heard of before.

 

Dark Magician, a normal monster with 7* and 2500/2100 that has received so much mediocre support for his name that he's drowning in all the bull****. Very few, if any, of his cards are even remotely good. Dark Magic Curtain is alright, oh wait there goes half your Life Points. Miracle Restoring is great, oh wait I have to orient Spell Counters into my Deck theme. Dark Magic Attack, oh look I dead draw into a useless spell card that sure sucks. Etc etc.

 

Putting them both together into a Fusion monster? Tough to do, and the effect should certainly pay off. This card hardly compares to Dark Paladin, really. He pays off for the fact that you have to pitch in Buster Blader alongside your Dark Magician support.

 

The effect is pretty balanced, if not underpowered, for the cost you have to go through to put him on the field. The best you can do is create an entire Deck around bringing him out, which can be done in the same manner as my Dragon Master Knight OTK.

Gogogo. Aside from abusing this method, the difficulty of summoning this card is well rewarded with its stats and effects. Nothing broken about it, seriously.
