[DISC] Raging Battle (Booster Set)

Definitely way to early to start speculating.

Butt if "power tool dragon" is this pack's claim to fame' date=' I doubt it'll be pwning the meta decks.

Yeah, I know. If a set has a terrible card like Power Tool Dragon or Yubel - The Ultimate Nightmare on the cover, that set will clearly suck and will have no effect on the meta.

Don't even start. Like I said, we don't know enough to see if it's good or bad. We only know two things: It contains Power Tool Dragon and it is supposedly Anti-Meta to some degree.

Judging from what little we know, the first impression isn't great. But i'm entirely open to this being a great set.

The cover card is always whatever card in the set has been featured most prominently in the set; it only represents the quality of the set if it also happens by coincidence to be one of the set's best cards, as with Stardust Dragon. Knowing the cover card tells you nothing except that the set contains at least one sub-par card, so saying that you "doubt it'll be pwning the meta decks" based on such limited information is stupid.

Yubel - The Ultimate Nightmare ---> Phantom Darkness ---> DAD ---> Mass impact.

Which already happened.

And we can't assume things based on the cover card. Stardust Dragon wasn't a cover card because it was good, it was because it was Yuusei's main monster.

there's too little info but i hope it will be something that will put a new deck type on top.

i hope dinos but that won't happen

Telle-DAD DOES contain numerous broken cards, and those cards need to be removed from the game, but you're going to be complaining just as much about the next deck that becomes big, assuming that it's not a deck that you already own. I'm sure you were complaining about Glads when they became popular, before that Dark Armed Dragon, and before that Monarchs/Demise.

This reminds me of the argument against banning Meta-Knight in Brawl.

Actually, it's similar to the Pro-Traditionalists' argument too.

I wasn't arguing that TeleDAD was in any way undeserving of banlist attention. I was simply pointing out the fact that it is likely that he will be unhappy with any meta dominated primarily by one deck type. That does not mean that we should keep the one deck type that we presently have just because we'll be unhappy with the next one too.
