Guest Tiger
Why do members chose threads like "The More You Know." and "The Loudest Silence You'll Ever Hear" to view? They serve no purpose and are eventually locked. It's very awkward to see how many views a thread has one dary, and then the views the next day. I remember seeing "The More You Know." have 16,000 views and today it has 130,000. How can so many views happen over night. Why do members chose those specific threads to view? They serve no purpose and are spam. I mean, for my threads I have 700 views in 3-4 days, but these threads get 130,000 over one night? Why? I bet all of you that even get a chance to post here have viewed those threads at least once. I know some of the members here will say "This is spam", but I don't care. I would really like to know the answers to my questions. This thread will probably be locked, but I don't care. I have stated my questions, and I hope to get answers. I am not attention seeking, as I stated before, I would just like to know some simple answers. Maybe not so simple answers. It's hard enough for me to get 700 people to view my thread over 3-4 days, but this is outrageous! 130,000 views in 8 hours? I know some of you will say "Oh, this thread is another stupid thread and will be locked soon", but I don't care. I'm just getting my statement across, and even if this thread does get locked, I still hope that a member will PM me the answers to all of my questions. Is it because the members that posted those threads are popular? Is it because it's interesting? I would really like to know.
Death Metal
Accually "The Loudest Silence You'll Ever Hear" had some good points in it. I thought that thread was pretty good. As for the other thread. Wasn't it based around politics or something? Anyways it is possible to increase your post view using programs that refresh the page every like I dunno.....15 seconds. At least I think that's what it is. Im not really sure.
FindingTheEverlight
Probably because they have eye-grabbing titles. It it still yet an unknown mystery to me. Oh, another theory, the thread title may not be specific enough, so it beckons people to click on it.... :/
CinnamonStar
Either members keep refreshing them to grab more attention on them or they use programs like Python.=/
Guest Tiger
Either members keep refreshing them to grab more attention on them or they use programs like Python.=/ Does refreshing the page really count as another view, though? isn't a view something where you click on it and the views go up? Not just refreshing it?
CinnamonStar
Well yes, they either keep clicking on the thread or use programs to increase the views, like Python. But no, the members who posted those threads are not more interesting than anyone else. Guest Tiger
But than if it refreshes every say 15 seconds why would they leave their screen on the page for hours?
