I thought I'll just release it. I've been away for a while, so I don't know if something like this has already been posted.

Image Version - .bmp format

To use this, do the image stuff on the first pic (don't add the text yet.) Then copy the second pic onto your image, with Transparency on, and add the text. Don't blame me if it looks bad. For Paint users.

 

And if you're feeling generous, you can give me a bit of credit. Not really required.

It'll take a long time; if you use GIMP with the PSD version' date=' just colorize the 'Background' layer. If you use Photoshop, just press Ctrl + U to bring up Hue/Saturation and adjust it as per your choice.

I don't think results in this thread would be appropriate but I could do with one in a spoiler.

The official font is not recommended - too costly. Name is Emigre Matrix II, if you're rich.

The one on the example uses Matrix II. The one in the template uses Palatino Linotype.

There are some similar fonts available at DaFont - Optimus Princeps and Liberation Serif look very promising. I used to use those before I got Matrix.
