Guest
first try at recolouring on a normal sprite NOT a splice sprite.please look, rate and comment.p.s they will be in attachment as i don't know how to get up a picture from files on this thing.[spoiler=first recolours]basicly i swapped the colours on kyogre+groudon, wanted to see what rayquaza looked like in blue, made shaymin blue as well(i like blue^_^)and made bastiodon bright and colourful instead of dull and grey. moneypony
very horrible,i wouldn't say it's a bad color choice but you got rid of the shadings
Guest
very horrible' date='i wouldn't say it's a bad color choice but you got rid of the shadings[/quote'] yes...i'm not good with that sort of thing so i just made it all the same colour. by the way i use paint and i'm not very good with paint.if your thinking "how did you do that then" it's because i followed bit of jappio's splicing guide(it tells you how to recolour too). Jappio
If you follow a guide, please follow it better. I said in mine to recolor all shades. You though didn't do this. It's hard also for you to claim ignorance of this though because on the blue Groudon, you actually did recolor more than just the main color. You therefor must see multiple shades, but chose not to pay attention in all the sprites. You also a made a very common mistake that is really annoying. You didn't recolor the border. For example, Rayquaza still has a dark green border. When recoloring, you need to get to that also, it is one of the shades you're suppose to recolor. Color choice wasn't good either. Bastidon and shaymin both could have been better. Tiel, green and red do not mix at all! Or I should say the way you did it sure doesn't. What you proved today was that I should probably add a more extensive recoloring section in my splicing tutorial. Not because mine is bad or not informative, but some people need to be shown each step and I need to make more warnings and stuff. Lack of border recoloring really bothers me for some reason.
