Seems like Bloodrun and I are thinking alike here. Something else that bugs me is the way that many people automatically assume that one is trying to be racist, when as a matter of fact, that person is just being over-sensitive and taking things too personally, and usually needs to learn to grow up. Here's a real example that happened to me in a chatroom, the conversation went something like this:

 

Me: Somebody set up us the bomb!

Someone: Omfg are you being f****** racist just cos im indian, saying stuff about bombs like that?

 

Not even joking. The guy wasn't playing games with me either, a series of aggressive angry comments followed, even after I tried explaining how he was grossly mistaken >.>

Bloodrun isn't saying that Racism is morally correct, he's saying that (in short) people will have a go at you for insulting a black person, labelling you racist, when the insult had nothing to do with race what so ever, and could have been applied just as easily to a white person. Racism is being used like a shield, improperly.

 

Racism= Discrimination because of a person's race, not insulting a person of another race.

I'm American, but also part Russian. My cousin and his Sister are Black, and people make fun of them because the rest of their Family(outside main) are White. There's no point to it.
