Could somebody tell me why

Giant Rat' date=' Nimble, 2600 ATK...

Wait, those reasons suck.

Is that sarcasm?

I think that Green Baboon at 3 would be much better and actually give Green Baboon Decks a chance at becoming good.

Green Baboon is limited?

You can't perform loops with it like you can with Manticore of Darkness. Why is it limited?

There was a loop before it even existed.

Baboon + baboon swing.

Mirror force

Pay 2000

Baboon + baboon swing. o.O

Also, Baboon swing directly with Baboon in grave and an active des counterblow.

Ude was smart limiting it before it's release.

Yes, and I think Night Assailant at 3 would vastly improve Flip decks.

Night Assailant creates a never-ending loop that doesn't accomplish anything. Green Baboon could create a loop with a Continous Trap Card that could be destroyed or negated by Dust Tornado, Heavy Storm, Mystical Space Typhoon, Dark Bribe, Solemn Judgment, Pollinosis and other cards.

and you can't summon him when another one is destroyed' date=' why?

would you mind explaining.

Destroyed \=\ Sent

You can keep sending Manticores to perform a continuous draw loop. Baboon actually has to be destroyed for a loop with itself to work. Plus, there's a Life Point cost.

ITT: Cards that destroy do not exist. Also, a 2600 floater who keeps reviving copies of itself at a slight life point cost isn't broken. Smashing Ground, Fissure, Sakuretsu Armor just become copies of Meteor of Destruction. And this is without CoSR to help you draw.

It's easier to "send" a monster to the Graveyard than it is to destroy one. You can revive Manticore as many times as you want. You can only revive Baboon seven times. The only destruction cards that are used in the Meta right now are Smashing Ground, Fissure, Dark Armed Dragon, Judgment Dragon, and Gyzarus. Three of those cards can easily be used more than once, meaning that you could easily stop your opponent's Baboon(s).

Torrential, Mirror Force, and Lightning Vortex. Also, cards that counter it are Dimensional Prison, Caius, and Crow, but I digress.

This isn't about the Mantiloop obviously. It's about a 2600 beatstick that is unkillable by anything other then sheer muscle, and even then comes back at comparably low 1000 point cost. Once your opponent is sick of paying the 1000 life point cost for Judgment Dragon, only to have you revive another one, or to keep RFG-ing his monsters for DAD only to face the same monkey again and again, on your turn you can use your own brand of 1-1 monster removal and wreck your opponent's life points.

Simple enough?

ITT: 3000 < 2600

Why exactly are we arguing about how this interacts with a banworthy card? >_> The point is that we essentially have a 2600 ATK, easily Special Summoned beatstick that cannot be destroyed.

ITT: Monsters are only destroyed by battle' date=' and monster destruction doesn't exist.

[/quote']

ITT: Paying 1000 LP to do exactly nothing is considered a good move.

ITT: Causing a majority of monster destruction to be worthless and insuring any monster at less then 2600 attack to be unable to attack directly for the cost of 1000 life points is considered doing exactly nothing.

ITT: Considering paying 1000 Life Points to destroy a Baboon over and over again, by the effect of JUDGMENT DRAGON, that is, to be a good move.

Seems like we're arguing for two different things here.

To be fair, both players' Life Points are being whittled away, so it's not a complete waste of Life Points.
