"Frozen Stalagmite Tokens" are treated as Continuous Spell Cards during the turn they are Summoned. You cannot Set any Spell or Trap Cards as long as there is a "Frozen Stalagmite Token" in your Spell & Trap Card Zone. "Frozen Stalagmite Tokens" cannot be targeted by the effects of Spell or Trap Cards your opponent controls. When this card is Summoned, destroy all "Frozen Stalagmite Tokens" on the field. Each time this card attacks, place 1 Frost Counter on it (max. 12). This card loses 100 ATK for each Frost Counter on it. If this card has 12 Frost Counters on it, this card's ATK is treated as 0. This card cannot attack or change Battle Positions. If this card is removed from the field with 12 Frost Counters on it, it is sent to the Graveyard.

I took out the part about the 3000 Def. Insta kill and the dual WATER-type.

So Stalagmite tokens take up space, are unaffected by anything, AND make it so you can't set spells or traps. And having it lose 100 ATK for attacking doesn't help it, and wouldn't it be sent to the Graveyard anyways when destroyed by battle?

I'm sorry if I'm missing something, but it just doesn't make sense to me.

If it's removed from play with 12 of the counters on it, it's sent to the graveyard so you have a chance to bring it back, and the stalagmite tokens don't effect the attack, those are the frost counters, and also, it's only spell and trap cards your opponent controls, your spell and traps on the other hand will, and you can just set any spell or trap you want before you summon the tokens.....only thing I'm confused about is how the tokens get there in the first place...
