I asked this because what if you have an emergency. If you had to cut your sandwhich? My school doesn't have knives. Only sometimes when you have french toast but those knives are plastic and brake easily.

There are two obvious answers:

1. Knives are lethal' date=' one slight accident and somebody's hurt or possibly killed

2. The recent generations are less mature and are being careless with EVERYTHING they do. There are more young kids drinking, smoking, and [b']having under-aged sex[/b]. Think about it, if kids were allowed to bring knives to school and happened to be drunk. That would be a major issue.This never happened when my grandparents or parents were kids.
