ragnarok1945
with the gov and living conditions I agree, that's what influenced Germany to go to war a 2nd time after the great depression, the people were suffering horribly there, they'd turn to anyone who can promise a solution to their problems. And if that means war, then so be it (some people can be VERY desperate to improve their situations)
Monkey
Point made, which also brings up the fact of begging for help. For those who are unaware of the civil war occuring in Africa, there is a tyrant who is invading Kongo and Uganda who aims to kill those in the area who revolt against him and to steal kids who are 3-5 years old. He teaches the kids to kill with any weapon, even their fists. As a result, by the age of 10 or older, they are killing machines armed and ready to kill, with no remorse, all they think about is killing and seeing bloodshed. So, does this bring the attention of other countries to stop this tyrant? Some say yes because he needs to be stopped, but others say no because it isn't our business, its only Africa's business. ragnarok1945
it isn't our business as of yet, but if this isn't stopped this is going to start turning most countries in Africa with entire populations of mindless people who understand nothing but kill, kill, and kill some more. This has to be stopped before it spirals out of control
Monkey
But if any country goes in too early, it could cause issues, if any country goes in too late, it could cause issues. The problem is, people who want to help travel to Africa to try to help those in need, but may get invovled with the conflicts, and then it would be that country's business because their citizens have been hurt by the conflict in some way. ragnarok1945
tell me about it. You don't hit it right on the mark, conflicts will rise. And the bad part of it all is that very few times has anyone EVER hit it right on the mark. You try to topple one dictator you end up getting caught in the crossfire. Africa has been torn by civil wars for way too long. But without understanding these wars, you can't restore order
Monkey
The civil war in Africa is too complex to understand, people who want to help still don't understand it completely. They say "oh yea, our country needs to do something about it", but we can't because it is none of our business. If we go in, then we'll get involved in this and cause issues in the Middle Ease and Africa.
ragnarok1945
and you think if we simply stay out of it the problem will simply fix itself?
Prince Poison
I lol'd the crusades weren't WW.The only wars that have been massive enough to be called WW are the ones we know officially >.>
Frunk
I have wondered about this. How many WW's have there been in recorded history? Let's see there are the 1st and 2nd that we all know about. And what about the war against terrorism? The whole world is pretty much involved. That could just as well be a 3rd WW. I just want to know what you think about this. "World War" is just an expression. There have only been two. The War on Terror (a.k.a. "Second Gulf War") is not a world war' date=' but a farce. The crusades were quite simply massacres led by greed, not faith.[/s'] Sorry, didn't read dates. :|
HORUS
World Wars are wars that involve countries from all over the world. Not just the US dicking around in the Middle East. That's not a world war.
Static
There are no world wars. Not until French Polynesia get's involved it isn't. But seriously; it has to affect the entire world on a grand scale, not just investor gains and the northern white countries of the world. The only two things capable of affecting the world, in my eyes on such a scale, would be bio-terror or nuclear wars.
