This is exactly why some mods need to be removed as well. I will infact name one of them that really needs to be taken off the list..

 

SushiTheLegend, because I never see him/her moderate a single thing, all I have seen him/her do is make announcements and important threads...and yet when he/she did mod, it was for the GFX section and he/she did it abit too harshly, never giving anyone a second chance, by locking the thread and then going on locking more. When he/she said he/she would step down, I was for once happy, until he/she wanted to mod the fanfic and roleplay section.. I thought to myself, "WTF? I doubt this guy/girl knows a single thing about the feeling of roleplaying, so why let him have the job?" And look at what he's/she's done so far.. OOH! He/she has made important announcements on it in which Umbra could have handled with by himself.

 

 

And I am not afraid to say any of this, if Sushi reads this, I hope the he/she has the maturity enough to understand my opinion and react in a more polite and mature manner. If not, then it'll just prove Frunk's point.

I was really dissapointed when they assigned the new mods and didn't pick Glasstin10. He's contributed more to this site than a lot of the mods put together. Not all of the mods, just ... a lot.

Bloodrun has started to become a lot better recently in my opinion, regardless of what anyone else says. However, tea.leaf was right earlier.

He, is the correct word. We Moderators give names of who we want, and YCMaker looks at who we choose and says a simple yes or no, he doesnt give us reasons for his choices. He is silent as always.

 

Many of us, including myself and bloodrun, named Glasstin, however nothing became of it...

 

At the end of the day, us Moderators dont really get a say in things like that.

I have a life. It's just that I can't go out right after school, so I go on YCM. I hang out with my friends and family on the weekends.

 

As for this thread, sure, the past was much better, and some of the mods here need to learn a thing or two about how to moderate efficiently, but complaining about it isn't going to change anything. The past is the past, and there's no way YCM will ever be like it was before. I use SXR and YCM, but I don't think one is better than the other. One has better moderation, but the other one has more interesting topics and a lot more members to talk to. Stop whining about the past and move on.

Sadly its true, yet false, we havent had the final say on Mod Choices in the past, its not until recently that FP has taken charge, but that was just for a mod or 2 to help out with permission rulings in CC.

 

I personally believe Tea should be given back Mod Status, Tea managed to moderate the given forum very well.

 

Star should not be a Moderator, ace guy, but he didnt do anything when he had the power, so what makes you think he would do anything now if given it back...

 

Glasstin, Icyblue, Hunter and tea should be Moderators.

There's no way they'd make me a mod, especially after my actions in the past.

 

I resigned as a mod anyway. It's too stressful. All being a mod does is make you a flame target for people.

 

Tea Leaf DOES NOT deserve to be a moderator. She seemed to think the rules didn't apply to her when she was a mod, and having a mod like that isn't going to help the forum.

 

Glasstin and Icyblue are awesome members, and I think they'd make good moderators.

I don't want to be a mod. I'd rather not become a flame target for people. I'm actually doing quite successful on YCM with my WWE Fan-Fic, and I'm enjoying the site a lot. Becoming a moderator would probably make YCM boring for me.

I was using the term "they" as a broad term to describe whoever chose the mods.

I still think that glasstin10, and Icyblue are/were probably some of the best candidates for being mods. Hopefully if/when he assigns more new mods he'll take what the rest of the staff considers into consideration.

 

Honestly, YCMaker isn't that bad of an administrator. He also isn't that bad of a person. This site has a LOT of traffic; so he can't just do an update on features whenever someone wants him too. However, I think that if he assigned more administrators or gave the super mods more power; this site could probably do a little better. :/

 

Or it could turn out the complete opposite and funk the site up even worse. :D

I think all of the active mods are doing a great job, and even if they weren't, YCM would still be great. If you differ, than go to your SXR forum and never come back.

There are several issues with what you are saying; firstly, SXR is no way affiliated with YCM in anyway, except for the occasional lulz; secondly, I don't see how some satirical remarks represent Draco's views (by that logic, Alexander Hamilton is one of the greatest antiheroes in American history, right?); thirdly, I can assure you that Draco has only the members' best interest to serve, not the corrupt schemes of the current regime.

• 1. SXR doesn't care about YCM.
