Disappointed to a Point

I was pointed to this site by a good friend of mine, who used to come here a while back. He told me, that it would be a good place to get help with making my deck better.

 

I put up my first post, stateing I would post the deck tomorrow, because I didnt have it with me when I first posted. That topic got locked.

 

The second post I put up, was immediatly and rudely answered, when I came to this site to ask for help to make my deck better. I however did not come to this is to be berated by someone who didnt even know me. Again, that thread was locked.

 

And my intuition tells me, this will also get locked. I came here to get some help to create a well rounded spellcaster deck, because I was told this site would help, yet from what I've seen so far, that isnt the case. Ive already been rudely insulted, instead of helped which is why I came here, so why would anyone want to come to this site, if that is what is going to happen right off the bat. Why should anyone stay here when their first post that is asking for help, and asking for a positive oppion, on what I should do to the deck, and I immediately get "Its Crap" is just down right pathetic.

 

I came asking for help, and for others who will come after me, and be asking for help just as I did, and get rudely insulted, why would anyone want to stay if that is what is going to happen when someone ask for help.

And that is why I was asking for the help in the first place with that deck, I did not know what was, banned, and what was limited, I came here for help, simply because I was reffered here by a friend. Thats all I needed, was help, to make that spellcaster deck stronger, but as it stands now, I dont think I'll be asking for help from anyone on this site unless I absolutely need to, because of the many times Ive asked for help. Ive still yet to have been helped, thats the only reason that deck was up there, was to get help with it, not have someone automatically, call it crap.

 

So unless I absolutely need help from someone on this site, I wont be asking for help from anyone here at all. My friend made it seem like this was a good sight, but apperently, when someone is asking for help, its not a good site at all.

While I agree that the TCG section is unnecessarily hostile, and has been so for a while now, you should have read the rules before posting. That said, I advise you to look up the banlist in sites that give you such information, because when you post a Deck, you're supposed to have people comment and help you fix it - NOT tell you the rules of the card game, which you should have looked up beforehand.

 

If you had questions about the banlist, and didn't feel like looking them up elsewhere, there is a also Stickied post that holds that information. Get used to looking up the basic information by yourself, as it's usually easily accessible.

Well, I'm not familar with exactly what happened, but the TCG and Your Deck sections have always been like that.

 

For instance, back when I was a newbie I posted my Deck, the thread can be found here.

 

Oh, aren't they very friendly people. My advice is to stay out of those sections unless you're an expert. Perhaps get into Card Making, or GFX, the people on those sections are extremely nice and helpful. Even it seems as if their flaming, their probably telling you how to improve. If you don't like either, then you should just hang around here. :)
