YCM Cadavre Exquis

This is not a game, so I hope it’s going to be taken (halfways) seriously.:P

A “cadavre exquis” is a surrealistic writing style. One person writes a word down and then hands the folded paper over to the next person who adds a new word without knowing the previous one.

Here we will make it a bit different. Our goal is to create a poem as a group, but while taking some freedoms from the cadavre system. (Trust me, I couldn’t resist to NOT look at the spoilers.:P)

Everyone posts at least one verse (not only a word) and then the next person adds another one to continue the story.

*) Anyone can participate, really. You don’t need any great poetry skills, just make sure you stay on topic.

*) This is NOT one of those “One word story” games and I refuse to move it to the Games section. It’s a more serious forum project, thus any inappropriate or silly 3-words-posts will be deleted. However, you can add more than one line, if you’re in a creative rush.=)

*) This is supposed to become an ongoing story, somehow like an epic poem (not the Internet meme, look up the literary expression if you don’t know it). I don’t have any plan about the content or atmosphere, just don’t post something like this: “And then Chuck Norris came and killed your mum – 12 syllables, HA!”. Make sure your verse is related to the previous one, but other than that, you’re really free to use any form, rhyme scheme or whatever you want.=)

Here is a start. If this is too confusing/unfitting, I can also come up with something else.

Beyond the horizon, beyond the seas

Where echoes whirl into a vast and profound unity
