Dark
Solar powered houses. Check. Solar powered calculators. Check. Solar powered cars. Check. The idea of a solar powered car? Ehh... most people would not even consider buying a solar powered car. First, they cost upwards of 20 thousand dollars. In these tough economic times, no one has that much money to cough up, for a stupid car at that. No one cares about GW either, so whats the point? The most stupidest reason why people won't buy these cars are they only go up to 90 MPH. Some idiots say that, it is not fast enough. The highest speed limit I have seen was MAYBE 85, some random place in California. So, discuss about how solar-powered cars have pros and cons. Jericho
You can't run them for very long when its raining, or snowing, or foggy, or any kind of weather except sunny.
Dark
They have in internal battery which sucks up the suns energy and harnesses it at night. And if it runs out of solar fuel at night, it has an 8 gallon tank.
Akira
So you can't store them in a garage then I take it? That is, if you want to let them charge when not in use..
Dark
No, you cannot store it in a garage. You could fully charge it and THEN store it.
moneypony
the pros and cons of it: pros:1.you eventually save up enough money because you don't buy gas2.you help the pollution crisis already beggining3.you get to show off the cool car you got for about a year or 2 >.>(joke)you can finally hear your friends say "Wheres the exhaust pipe?"(joke)you can also hear them say "You have been traveling for 3 days, aren't you going to refill gas?"(joke)you can relpy with "This is a solar powered car,(insert word related to dim-wit,anything meaning not smart) cons:(joke)when there is no more sun we have to invade another state for it1.not much really...... so i guess it's a great car, although a cardon dioxide powered car in which oxegen comes out the exhust would be great. 「tea.leaf」
Solar-power cars are dreadfully inefficient, expensive and ugly. Why would you ever want to buy one? Why not buy a Tesla instead, and charge it with energy from your solar-powered house?
