My Dog is Dying.

Well' date=' know this..you gave Lily a home and a life that no other dog had, and that any dog would love to have. Now that you have to say goodbye, then you should know that you gave her the best a dog could ask for.

Cheer up and listen to some music that you like, that will bring you some sunshine. Like listen to Bollweevel by The Presidents of the United States of America,...that's a good song for you. :)

I guess. It's just that Lily is the best dog a human or anyone in the world could ask for. And I don't want to see her die.

I guess I'll listen to some music. Maybe the song you suggested.

Keep looking on the optimistic ends: your dog may not die, and that gives you something to hope for

I know this sounds very optimistic, but I know my dog is going to die.

Lily can't walk. At all. She can barely stand.

Well, just remember that atleast you get to spend one more christmas with her. Do what you can to make her last few days comfortable and then let yourself cry about after all this mess. Trust me when I say that even though crying may seem childish, it actually helps you remember how much love you have for your dog. :)

don't say that yet. There's no concrete evidence the dog will die yet. Don't give up hope. King of all Dogs only said IF it dies soon. Key word on "if"

Alright, let's say you were talking to me and I was in the same situation as Tiger here and you were saying everything same thing you are. I can tell you now that you wouldn't help even me with that.

If you try to point out that maybe it might not happen, it'll get his hopes too high and then there's the chance it might actually happen the way you don;t intend and then you make matters even worse for him.

True' date=' but if you don't offer any hope at all you'll bring his hopes down just as much

Actually...you could just say to accept the fate of his dog and that his dog could never have asked for a better life like I said. Then you aren't bringing any "hope" down at all and you are not making him so depressed, even if the dog does die.

Yeah and the more beating up you do to yourself the more likely it will really happen. When my hamster got his teeth broken i was so sad but i tried to keep him alive as much as i could.

that's my point. Do everything in your power to keep the dog alive. Don't just go straight to the acceptance that it definately will die

I guess. It's just that, Lily is in so much pain and it's hard to comfort her. I love her so much........ :(

fine' date=' let's say that's true. You think this is making King feel better?

[/quote']

No. Quite frankly, I don't this is making KoD feel better. But there's no point in giving KoD false hope.

Don't worry, KoD. Your dog's gonna be fine. Then you'll go frolic in the gumdrop fields. Yea. That'll be awesome.

Was that any better? Didn't think so.
