Today, I tried tofu for the first time, while eating a small bite I gagged four times and now I feel like I could barf.

Tofu doesn't have a taste, for those of you who said that it tastes bad. Tofu absorbs the taste of whatever it is cooked with. So the bad taste would have been a result of the things around it and NOT the Tofu itself. Tofu is actually very good when put into certain soups or other meals. Do not knock tofu, it's not it's fault it tasted bad.

That's my point, you have to cook it with the right food to make it good. You should try tofu soup (made with chicken soup)
