New Splice!

All righty than.

The uhh...pelvis area... does not look good with that black line going through it.

The 2nd Kyogre arm is too hidden behind the rest. Deoxy's arms would have looked fine there. Maybe, if you wanted to use a legendary, Groudon would have done well.

Not your best sprite but hey, good to have you back.

EDIT: 4000th post

Lawrence. I don't quite like how this one turned out for you. Two things I've learned from working with Kyorgre: It's fins are too big, and it's back fin is at weird angle. The right fin is large, would make the creation top and arm heavy, and doesn't really make much sense. The back one looks puny in comparison due to how it's all angled, and naturally I don't think it would be stick in the air like that.

The colors have issues, mainly the inconsistent borders and textures. The legs have a pretty constant brown border. Mewtwo abdomen area seems very different, making the legs not match the body. The right arm has a very thick and solid border, which doesn't match the body or legs either, making it stick out even more. The design on the arm also seems pretty noticeable, probably due to those black lines. The head fins look like they were pinned on. I don't mean pinned onto his head, but pinned onto an image of his head.

As a side note, I don't like the pose. One could argue it's because he's twisting, but still it bothers me.

Rutku. The head is my biggest problem. You didn't do too much color blending, so the head just seems to stick out like a sore thumb. The Suicune head dress is also at an odd angle underneath it. Truly it just seems like a badly fitted mask on a Suicune. For some reason I have a hard time noticing the added pieces on the back and body. I mostly think this thing is a Suicune with a mask.

Yes, one of the bigger issues is how you've done the circles. Circles in Paint and some other programs on the pixel level don't get it right. They assume curtain things and guess where to put pixels. Too the untrained eye, it looks fine, but logic is a better tool. It's ok to use the circle tool first, but you need to make sure it turns out right. Basically how it works is that progressively the angle of the line changes, so on the pixel level, lines get short and shorter to make a rounded edge, here is an image to show how this works:

Circleexample.png

On the left is a bad circle, on the right is a better one. As you see, lines get shorter and longer to create the curve. When you jump out of order though, it makes parts look jagged.

Other than that for Poliwag, I don't like the eyes. Something seems off about them. Perhaps it's the expression too. It looks sad, high, or something like that. The shading could be touched up on a tad, seems little weird, doesn't look 100% natural. Another part about all this is the angle. This sprite isn't in true Pokemon style, due to the fact it is facing the viewer. It should be turned more to its side. Of course this is merely a rule of Pokemon sprites, if you want to break the rule, go right ahead, you're the artist. It just breaks Poke style if you do it like that.

Magnemite is cute. It's smaller look I like. The eye is a tad square though, try rounding it into a more circle look. The right screw is bigger than the left screw. Either they should be the same size, or the right one should be smaller, due to perspective and what not. The right magnet also seems weird, probably due ot its' odd angle. I'd angle it back more.
